PT, East Sussex, stayed: December 2017

Lovely hotel staff could not do enough food excellent and plenty of it.
Grounds were lovely with canel at bottom of garden. Would go back to Stonehouse Court Hotel.
It was lovely over the Christmas period when we went and would definitely go over Christmas again.

Great stay, the place was quiet as we checked in on January 1st so the manager upgraded our room - really nice touch. Food was great, staff really friendly. We'll definitely return.

Two days in January

Patricia, Leicestershire, stayed: January 2018

On arrival the bar was being refurbished so felt a little concerned about what would be on offer. We were given a room which overlooked the car park which looked a little tired. I asked if we could be moved and they very happily changed the room. Room 3 was stunning and over looked the lovely garden and the canal beyond. We had a very nice meal on both nights and the breakfast was also good, We found all the staff helpful and friendly. Would go again, would be lovely in the summer to sit out in the garden.

Dated a meeting place for people to discuss buisness in the bar

DO, SURREY, stayed: January 2018

Hotel is dated, not a place to stay if you want a quiet drink in the bar as seems to be a meeting place for people to discuss business in the afternoon/evening I'm not talking about the arranged seminars as they have separate meeting rooms its annoying when you have people each side of you in the bar talking shop and used as a meeting place when you're trying to have a quite relaxing time away

Pleasant stay

Anon, stayed: January 2018

Our stay was very pleasant, the hotel was well situated and all services were satisfactory. In particular the young woman in the restaurant (not sure her name) was very helpful, pleasant and knowledgeable,

Winter weekend

Anon, stayed: January 2018

Welcoming wood fire in bar area, nice place to enjoy afternoon tea.
Lovely setting for a walk through garden and along canal, and a good location to visit Slimbridge.
Room in house comfortable with good sized bathroom, large bath but beware step out of shower.

Wonderful place to stay

Christine S, Cornwall, stayed: April 2018

A beautiful place, the staff are so friendly and helpful, we stayed two nights, the housekeeping staff were lovely, they knew it was my husband's birthday and when we went back into the room, they had put a beautiful plate of cakes & biscuits with happy birthday piped in chocolate and printed message. Thank you both.

The restaurant and bar staff were excellent too and nothing was to much trouble.

Thank you to all the staff you were amazing
