lovely manor house

Julie, Norfolk, stayed: September 2014

A lovely stay with added bonus of having our dog with us, beautifully kept gardens with a canal running along the bottom, ideal for walks in the morning with the dog. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable of the local area and nothing was too much trouble. Food very good and well presented.

When can we come again!

Marie W, Cottingham East Riding of Yorkshire, stayed: June 2015

My husband and I visited with two very dear friends who were celebrating their wedding anniversary. It was an ideal choice of venue everything from the moment we arrived to our leaving could not have been better. The whole experience was wonderful and a few days more would have been lovely. We certainly would consider staying again but maybe an upgrade on the room.

The weekend was a 80th birthday treat for my mum.

We all had a good time, good food, friendly and helpful staff, hotel and rooms really clean. Didn't sleep well because other guests were noisy, could even hear them going to the toilet as walls seemed very thin.

3* hotel delivering a 5* service.

Sue, Gloucestershire, stayed: July 2015

The location is good with nice walled grounds opening onto the canal. We had lovely weather so spent most of our 2 night stay on the terrace. Comfortable and well appointed with cushioned seating. The outstanding feature for us was the superb service we received, nothing being too much effort. Great service & tasty food. Interior is lovely as befits a period property. While some bedrooms are in need of some upgrading, ours was large, comfortable & spotless. 3*hotel with 5* service. A great weekend all round.

Stonehouse Court

Phillip, Rushden, stayed: October 2015

Stayed for 2 nights 18th and 19th October. Nothing but praise for this hotel. The staff were courteous and helpful. The room was comfortable with a nice view of the garden. It was clean and tidy. The bathroom could probably do with an upgrade but was clean and adequate, the only complaint being the water pressure of the shower was quite low. The location was good and there were country walks literally on the doorstep. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Great location, friendly helpfull staff & the food was absolutely fab.

Del G, Vale of Glamorgan, stayed: November 2015

This is a great location, it has a canal & beautiful church just yards outside the rear gate overlooking hillsides & countryside. A great way to walk the hearty breakfast off. It's a short journey to Cheltenham which was great for a night out & the terrific Victorian Christmas fair market. The Staff were friendly & helpful, the room had great views & the food we had in the evening was 'amazing'! I would recommend this Hotel. It's a lovely looking building of Cotswold stone & the setting just 'great'.
