Beautiful hotel with plenty of character. Lovely large room in manor house with views of countryside. Delicious food in restaurant. Would definitely stay again.
Stonehouse Court
The hotel was comfortable and staff friendly but could do with some refurbishment. The Dinner menu was limited and breakfast lacked a good selection of fruit and yoghurt.
Stonehoyse court hotel stay July 20024.
Stayed for 2 nights. Lovely hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel has a fabulous garden and terrace. We stayed in the main house, room 3 with our granddaughter and the room was lovely and spacious. All our food was eaten outside on the terrace because the weather was lovely and it is a very relaxing environment. The food was very nice with a varied menu.
A nostalgic visit
We stayed at Stonehouse Court for a 2 night stay in September. The reception staff were rather inexperienced and did not advise/ remind us that our booking included 70 worth of food and drink and had no record of the dinner booking we had accordingly made for the first night. In the end we were credited for our food but not for the drinks so did not receive full value for what we had booked. The directions to our room were also a bit vague but the room facilities in the old part of the hotel were very good and the breakfasts and dinner were enjoyable.
The main reason we wanted to stay at Stonehouse Court was because it was the subject of a drawing by my husband's grandmother who lived in Stonehouse as a girl. Her parents' family home is still standing and they and her brother are buried in the graveyard next door to the hotel.

Good location for M5, Cotswolds and other attractions. The hotel is well kept and staff friendly helpful and efficient. All together a very good package from OPL.
Stonehouse Court
Lovely Manor hotel in beautiful surroundings within easy reach of charming Cotswold villages.
Very friendly and helpful staff.Really nice room overlooking the grounds with comfortable seating area.
Good attention to detail.Equally nice bathroom with large walk-in shower and lovely bathrobes.
Very pleased with choice of menu and food was excellent. We ate there on three evenings and everything was delicious.Exceptional friendly service. Look forward to a return visit
A really lovely traditional hotel in a historic house with modern extensions
Reception welcome among the best, and overall staff were very friendly and approachable and happy to chat.
Room was top notch - in the original 1601 Manor House with lovely view across the canal to the hills.
Restaurant - ingredients very good and most evening meal dishes well prepared, although on one occasion due to delays in the kitchen the fish was left too long waiting for the chicken dish to be prepared. On another occasion we placed our orders and waited 35 minutes for the starter because of poor prioritising in the service - another group arrived later, and were served their main courses before our starter was even prepared. So some organisational issues in the evening to attend to but on the whole the food was very good. We would recommend one different off-the-main-menu option every day, as once you had eaten two meals you started to run out of options.
The breakfast choice and ingredients is good but the bacon was consistently over-cooked so really nice British bacon was crispy and crunchy, and not good. Also no-one wanted the US style streaky bacon, so it was always left until last, when you had no choice but to eat it. Otherwise a good all round breakfast.
The location is excellent and great for canal walks.
