Another wonderful stay.
Arriving early we enjoyed a lovely lunch & drink on the terrace. . Our room overlooked the well kept garden and surrounding countryside . The Evening Meal was delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The only thing that let our stay down, was the Breakfast. Hot food was Luke warm. Overall an enjoyable stay.
Anniversary
We came to stay with you as it was our 33rd wedding anniversary it was so nice and relaxed we had a lovely stop over would highly recommend
Beautiful hotel by the canal
We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel itself is very old and they ve done it out beautifully inside. Super clean. The restaurant serves great food. The bar is nice and modern and had a buzzy atmosphere when we were there. The best thing about the hotel is the staff - every single one of them was so incredibly friendly, upbeat and helpful. It s in lovely grounds just by the canal which makes for a lovely walk on your doorstep. Highly recommended.
17th century Manor House hotel
Wonderful 17th century Manor House Hotel located not far from M5, has lots of history . Easy to find. Wonderful old building with lovely gardens and old church and Stroud water canal running along the bottom which was great for a morning stroll after breakfast. Can imagine the garden area would be lovely in the summer months.
Deluxe manor room was lovely ,bathroom especially, bed very comfy.
Restaurant was nice, they forgot my fries but rectified with a complimentary drink. Breakfast plenty of choice.
Would love to come back again.
RELAXING BREAK
A lovely old property in a nice rural location.
Bedrooms are spacious with large comfortable beds. We had a bath with shower over with pleasant complimentary products.
Our evening meals were delicious but overpriced. When booking we were given a 70 room allowance for food and drinks but two main courses almost used up that allowance.
Breakfast was not as good as i had hoped. The bacon was streaky and all matted together. The food was not that warm. There was not that much choice of food.
A very enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed staying here. Sadly the restaurant wasn t open that night but the Bistro was a good alternative and the atmosphere and friendly staff were great. Although beware there are a lot of stairs in the main house so if you find stars a little difficult to navigate I would mention this when booking.
Great staff, let down by location ..not in the Cotswolds
On arrival picture on site does not reflect hotel. Busy main road and outlook of a housing estate.
friendly check in , was offered bridal suite ( this was offered to everyone until they had a taken) 40 per night for upgrade. Unfortunately room was vast and cold. Nice views though.
We got to our room it was cosy but double bed was small , use to a least king size whilst away . Room 11 had a constant whirring sound all night which kept us awake so avoid this room.
Ate in the restaurant both nights . Excellent service and attentive staff.
Breakfast was appalling , self service and luke warm food. No finesse !
This hotel is more off a business hotel then a romantic stay! And definitely not in the Cotswolds ( Cotswold hotel breaks take note )
We made the best of our stay with a trip to Stroud antiques centre and Gloucester Quays .
Stonehouse Court
I recently stayed at Stonehouse Court. On entering this beautiful historic building we were greeted by a warm welcoming fireplace and friendly attentive staff. Everything about our stay was top class from well appointed characterful room to the intimate restaurant which served some delightful cuisine and the comfortable relaxed bar area.
The staff really made it an exceptional stay ; I have rarely seen such a team that were so clearly invested in giving their guests such a fantastic experience. 10/10 all round.
