Amazing stay at Ellenborough park. We went for my boyfriends birthday and they went above and beyond to make it special. Food was incredible. Staff so friendly and we even had a look at the grounds for our wedding.
Only thing to improve would be the spa as it s very small but still lovely
Just Ok
Rather disappointed in limited choice on both Restaurant and Bistro menus
Didn t make an issue of it but ordered Mille Feuille for desert which the waiter announced on serving only to be served a Sticky toffee pudding !! Silly thing was by his face he knew it was wrong so why serve it ?!!
Service of food was very slow and restaurant not at all busy
With the limited choices on the menu was rather disappointing especially for 60 for 3 courses !
Horse Box prawn cocktail /fish and chips was good
Restaurant really does need to improve to substantiate price
The perfect tonic
With the children packed off to various members of the family, a spa weekend away from the stresses of daily life awaited. Had nothing to fault the stay at all. A beautiful room, wonderful facilities, friendly staff, delicious food, a lovely ambience, we couldn t have asked for anything more. All of this summed up perfectly with what happened after we checked out. Having taken a walk up to Cleeve hill, we came back to the hotel where we had booked to have afternoon tea. When we went into the lounge the member of staff whisked us up a spiral staircase to a wonderful little room called The Snug where we were served a wonderful afternoon tea with the best scones I have ever tasted. We were made to feel special and for me was the perfect end to the stay. We will most definitely be back!

Lovely hotel but let down by the limited and expensive menu
Great hotel in a prime Cotswold location. Our only gripe was the over-priced and limited menu in the main restaurant, and the relative cost for not much extra choice or quantity in the lesser restaurant. The latter is essentially pub food at stupid prices, around 50 per head. The upscale restaurant will set you back 60+ per head for minute quantities albeit beautifully presented and served. Add in overpriced wines and you can kiss goodbye to a minimum 100 per head. It is just not worth it.
Wonderful stay, Fantastic Breakfast
My Daughter and I had the most wonderful ,spoilt and pampered day, good food in the evening, drinks served by friendly efficient, knowledgeable staff. Room was a delight, catered for your every need. Shower amazing. Breakfast was an absolute delight. The best ever. We had the most amazing time thankyou.
Perfect for a Night Away
As a brief escape from the kids, the hotel was perfect - we arrived early on Sunday and were able to enjoy the newspapers and a coffee in peace; we then used the spa, great treatments and given its small size much more personal than most; all the staff and service we received was of a good quality and delivered with a smile; the food was of a good quality throughout (both the bar and the main restaurants); we had certain other requests that were all dealt with swiftly and without fuss
Our mini moon
We arrived on Sunday 5th May as we got married on Sat 4th but unfortunately due to full capacity we couldn't get an upgrade.
The room was still nice and the bar staff/waiters were lovely and very knowledgeable but I think i probably got my hopes up about an upgraded room as this is what generally happens with honey mooners .
