A very welcoming hotel, every member of staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a lovely cream tea on the lawn in the sunshine and a walk around the picturesque village of Eckington. Our room was comfortable with unique features fitting to the location. Service was excellent in the dining room, where the food was of a very high quality, both breakfast, and dinner, while choices were varied without being too numerous. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again when in the area.
Signposting hotel reception from the carpark would help first time guests.
A night away.
We were pleased to stay at Eckington Manor for the night with the beautiful gardens and delicious food however, even though our room had amazing handpainted silk wall coverings, we actually had no window only two opening roof lights. This was quite disconcerting and not what we had been expecting.
Eckington Manor Stay
The team at the Manor are in my view it's strongest asset - they helped on several occasions
Anniversary weekend away
Lovely , relaxing night away too celebrate our anniversary. A great arrival welcome. Arriving early than room ready we were able too leave car parked at hotel and the lovely receptionist printed us a map and explained how to do a beautiful circle walk. The drinks and dinner were delicious and great staff.all in all so relaxing seemed more like than one night away.
It s not what you think
The photo and title of this establishment makes you think you re staying in a Manor House not a barn conversion. We stayed 3 nights and menu had 4 items + a veggie and as I don t eat fish I was limited to a choice of pork chop or share duck with my husband. Not ideal. Same for starters, pate asparagus salmon or something else. Very restrictive. When I suggested an alternative starter I was offered steak tartar!
The bed was very comfortable once I d asked for a feather pillow.
Matt the waiter was top notch
Relaxing and welcoming
Lovely stay. Great staff and a nice meal.
Lovely!
We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. The room was beautifully furnished, wonderful free standing bath, very clean & well equipped. Staff were brilliant, very friendly, helpful & always a warm greeting. The food in the restaurant in the evenings was top notch, absolutely delicious & served brilliantly by the staff. Just one small disappointment for us was the breakfast menu, the continental breakfast was 'basic', not a croissant in sight. That aside, we had a lovely time & thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
