Relaxing Cotswold stay.
Good central position. Public rooms well presented. Disappointed with standard of decoration of our bedroom, but our friends had neighbouring room which was well decorated, so maybe ours scheduled for redecoration. Bar and dining room very comfortable. Staff all very friendly and accommodating. Food excellent.
There are 3 destination chargers by the Spa (operated by Go Zero, so not the hotel s responsibility) which I was relying on for a charge. However I was unable to get a charge - I emailed the company (no phone number provided) and was told they would get back to me with an explanation but they haven t so far), so I advise not to rely on this facility.
Lovely little break
Stayed here a number of times. Always a relaxing short break in a beautiful area. Rooms are comfortable and the spa makes all the difference- great to relax after a day of walking.
Cotswold House Hotel
With the exception of one of the members of staff all staff were extremely helpful. We had a great stay overall although unfortunately due to staff sickness my spa treatment was cancelled. They were very helpful and offered an alternative but it was a a shorter treatment and not the same type. Also, there was a private function on the Saturday night that pretty much took over the bar area - it would have been good to know this at the time of booking as we may have altered the date of our stay. Many thanks.
Lovely stay
We had a lovely time staying at this hotel. The food was exceptional. We both agreed it was the best restaurant steak we had ever had. Lovely restaurant staff, particularly the lady who looked after us who was so friendly and helpful. We had a fantastic room with a lovely bathroom. The only thing that let the room down were the tatty curtains. They were threadbare on both sides and we were surprised that they hadn t been replaced. The other frustrating thing was the lighting system, it was very confusing to work the lights in the room. Apart from that, I would highly recommend this hotel. It s a great base for visiting the Cotswolds and experiencing delicious food. The other highlight was definitely the breakfast which was beautifully cooked.
Day out with a good friend
Absolutely lovely break, great hotel restaurant beautiful food wasn't amazing,
Spa was fantastic staff at the spa where so helpful and our treatments were so relaxing, I had carol she was brilliant
When we arrived we were greated by a very unhelpful man, as we were early, didn't offer any help at all on what to do where to wait, bags ect, we went back to our car and left our bags there and just had a look around the town, grab a coffee then went to the spa,

Spring in Chipping Campden
We stayed at the Cotswold House Hotel for 2 nights in March. The hotel was very pleasant and the staff very friendly. but parts of the hotel and our bedroom were a bit "tired" and could do with a coat of paint! I had a cooked breakfast on both days which was plated, piping hot and very tasty.
The hotel is ideally situated in the centre of Chipping Campden so it is easy to explore the town on foot. Sadly, the town wasn't in full swing ready for the season but will be lovely in late spring when all the Wysteria are in flower and the trees are green!
I think the hotel is well worth a visit but probably only for a couple of nights as there is not much to do in the town but bear in mind we did go in early March!
Love this hotel!!
Second time we ve stayed here, and will certainly come again!!
Gorgeous room, garden and food!! And the restaurant itself is a gem!!
