A place to come to relax

A lovely break in a unique village in the Cotswolds. Only Miss Marple was absent .

Excellent break

Anon, stayed: September 2014

We stayed on an inclusive weekend break for a wedding anniversary. The hotel was very comfortable and welcoming and the superior room was very spacious and well equipped. The restaurant meals were outstanding, some of the best food we have ever eaten and additional tasting dishes were served between courses. The town is full of character and not as busy as some places in the Cotswolds, our stay coincided with an arts weekend so there was lots to see. Grounds and gardens are attractive and interesting and spa treatments were excellent. The pool area was a welcome relaxation and retreat, but not for serious swimmers. Excellent weekend.

Lovely Cotswold Hotel

Nik M, Buckinghamshire, stayed: October 2014

We had a fantastic weekend, delivering everything we wanted to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary. Although expensive, the deal with its inclusive restaurant meals, and champagne made this an extremely worthwhile stay, that felt good value for money. Both restaurants delivered extremely top notch cuisine, with very attentive staff. The only disappointment was the spa - the pool area is small, and as a result loungers are at a premium. So much so, when we first arrived we had to sit on chairs, and there wouldn't have been any room if others had turned up at that time.

However, overall we had a wonderful stay, enjoying the village, the pubs, the tea shops and some local walks. And yes, we'd go back in a flash!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay , the only criticism is that the car park is not easy to find! But that is very minor, food and location were excellent

Great girls' weekend venue

Anon, stayed: October 2014

My friends and I had a really fun weekend at this hotel to celebrate my 40th birthday. We were given 2 interconnecting twin rooms and another twin a bit further away. The beds were comfortable and the rooms felt luxurious and quirky. The afternoon tea was huge and delicious and the breakfast and evening meal were good too. On the second night we were able to eat at the hotel across the road, which was nice for some variety. Although the spa is fairly small it was perfect for relaxing and being able to walk back to our rooms through the hotel gardens without changing out of our robes was very handy!
