Break
Location was excellent, reception staff ok, no help with bags and nobody on reception when we arrived, no bell to ring so had to wait. No lift which we didn't realise, was a bit of problem for my wife as she has difficulty with stairs, thankfully we were on first floor or it could have been more of a problem. Comfortable bed but woken early by bin men emptying bins outside. Restaurant was very good there is a 10% service charge. Didn't get the free bottle of wine but they did give us a voucher for spa for £30, they fitted my wife in for a manicure which turned out to be an express manicure, not the best she has had, I used the hydrotherapy pool which was very relaxing. The gardens are lovely and very private.
Great Cotswold Break
Comfortable hotel, ideally located for touring the Cotswolds. Use of the spa was a relaxing bonus.
We were upgraded to a lovely suite. Enjoyable stay in such an interesting and historical town.
Very enjoyable stay. Query with the shower was dealt with immediately. Little extras ie champagne
SATISFACTORY
Hotel was satisfactory, good location, nice rooms
Golden wedding anniversary
Thank you for recommending such a wonderful hotel .
We had a wonderful time with the family to celebrate this occasion .
A very pleasant break
We stayed with friends as it was a special wedding anniversary for both of us. We stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast 2 night break. Our room was warm and comfortable. The service of bottles of water and turning down the bed were lovely on the first night but absent on the second. Maybe a first night only policy!
The restaurant was good. Service and food didn't disappoint. The pool proved to be a nice end to the day, very pleasant ambience. A sauna would be a good addition for those of us who can't cope with the steam room.
We would probably return if there was a similar offer in the future.
Excellent stay
Cotswold House Hotel was a wonderful place to stay, especially at the start of the Christmas season. Chipping Campden is a delightful unspoilt place. The staff were extremely helpful and even pampered to my husband who likes rock hard butter on his toast. The only criticism our friends and us had, was that the bar was poorly stocked, didn't have any sherry and ran out of Bells Whisky. The rooms were very comfortable and had a fridge, free supply of water, tea, coffee and homemade biscuits. The food was excellent.
