Good overall
This hotel is iwell situated, in the high street. Staff are very helpful and efficient. Restaurant food is of a high standard. I paid for an upgrade to a superior room. Firstly, it was well heated, as I prefer, in fact, it was too hot, but better than being cold and easy to adjust. Bed comfortable. The room was very large, but I was surprised to find it was next to the toilets and the first thing I noticed on entering was the chipped paintwork. Generally the hotel was a little shabby in places and could do with a few repairs and tidying up. But overall we had an enjoyable stay.
The Perfect Christmas Break
From a very special welcoming Hamper awaiting in our room to wonderful afternoon tea on the Christmas Eve to a super Christmas Day Lunch (6 courses) and then a wonderful Boxing Day Evening Dinner. Attentive staff throughout all made for a very relaxing Christmas Break.
40TH anniversary spoilt
Unfortunately we were disappointed at the start of our stay,as when we arrived we were expecting flowers and chocolates in our room. We had ordered them with you in advance as we were celebrating our 40 th wedding Anniversary. We had booked our dinners in the restaurant rather the the bistro as once again it was a special occasion. When we went to dinner we found that the dining room was in a mess as earlier they had had a Christmas party. Apparently no time to clear up so we were told we'd have to eat in the bar area.We were so disappointed once again as we were celebrating our were offered a bottle of prosecco as a good will gesture. Later in the day some flowers and chocolates were delivered. Overall it spoilt our anniversary.

Relaxing break
My friend and I have just returned from a two night stay in the Cotswold House Hotel and Spa. Our room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Agnes and Johann. We used the spa facilities and the treatments and pool were lovely. We ate in the hotel both nights, the bar provided excellent food as did the Fig restaurant. Breakfast was also delicious. There is on site parking which had plenty of spaces. We would come here again.
Great hotel and location for a few days break.
There were 12 in our group, six couples, and we all had an excellent time. Exceeded our expectations.
Fantastic food
Lovely stay. Room comfortable especially the huge bed! Highlight of the stay was the fabulous food - high end restaurant quality in The Fig - couldn t fault it. Breakfast was also excellent.
Excellent restaurant supported by very good waiting staff
