Our valentine's stay

CM, Glos, stayed: February 2024

I booked this hotel fort partner for a valentine's treat and it did not disappoint. It was amazing. From Barbi on reception, who was so helpful dealing with my special requests and very efficiently at that, to the amazing food!!! Our room was stunning and it was so warm and cozy with everything you needed. The pool was warm too which was nice to relax in as the weather wasn't great. On a nice day the views are gorgeous and there were plenty of walks to go on. We didn't get to appreciate whole hotel as there were renovations being done but it didn't interfere at all with our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel but don't eat too much before you go because the food is delicious and you won't want to leave it!!!

No acknowledgment for my husbands 60th

Jane J, Worcestershire, stayed: February 2024

Booked for my 60th birthday but no acknowledgment. Not even a happy birthday ! We were in Masters Room , room was very hot like a sauna , had to turn down radiators . Room was very noisy all day and all night , found out it was something to do with pool pump.
Dinner food was excellent but had to remind waiter re MSG allergy, All courses on dinner were splendid and a good atmosphere.
Good views from lounge across the Cotswold.
Disappointing stay !!!

A lovely overnight stay

PW, Gloucestershire, stayed: January 2024

Booked this hotel as the second half of an Off-peak spa booking g. First resort in Wreham was awful so cancelled and used the balance of my break at Charingworth Manor.
What a beautiful location, nice pool, awesome delicious food from the restaurant. This was a very relaxing and pleasurable stay.
Great place if you want isolation, peace and quiet, good food and beautiful surroundings.
I would definately recommend this hotel and I would stay again.

WC problems

Marie B, Worcestershire, stayed: January 2024

Before we went to dinner our wc started giving us problems it constantly running water into the pan but not filling the cistern so wouldn t flush We reported this when we went for dinner but was not fixed I removed the bucket from the bin and used that to try and flush it. I was surprised that there was nobody to answer the phone after 8pm , it did impact on our enjoyment of the stay. Also the disabled parking was horrendous ( none ). I don t know if we would stay again under the present circumstances but the staff were lovely and the food good .

Charingworth Manor

Anon, stayed: December 2023

Hotel lovely but room not good enough for the amount charged. Bathroom very poor. Window stuck shut & extractor fan not working. Shower poor - hotels if this nature should not be using shower curtains!! Taps on sink were very old & poor standard. TV reception poor.

Staff excellent & restaurant good.

Relaxing

Julie, Bedfordshire, stayed: December 2023

We loved our stay From the moment we arrived, we felt relaxed (which was the whole idea of our short stay). There were a few lounges to choose from, with low ceilings, cozy fireplaces and relaxing background music. The evening meal, which we ate in a quiet annex in the restaurant, was delicious from the a la carte menu. Our room, which included a private garden and a hot tub (which could have been a degree hotter), was lovely! The cooked breakfast, which was not from a buffet, thankfully, was just right The whole time we were there, we didn t really have a concept of how many other people were there.
We would definitely recommend and will be staying again in the future

Goodbye Charingworth

Anon, stayed: December 2023

We have stayed here a few times over the years but this is the last. Drinks overpriced, food barely adequate, 10% service charge on everything, complimentary bottle of wine only allowed to be drunk in the room. This lovely old hotel seems to now put profit above service and there are far better options in the Cotswolds
