Two night stay
Excellent restaurant, nice surroundings.
All staff were polite, friendly and professional.
Overall a nice relaxing stay and would visit again.
Only criticisim would be the room.
It needed a fresh makeover and air conditioning fitted.
The carpet need changing due to a large coffee stain by the bed which was also visible on the skirting board
Lovely break
We enjoyed a short break which was excellent value. With nice touches that included complimentary champagne on arrival and an afternoon tea. The hotel provided a good base for exploring the area and the air conditioned room was a real bonus in a heatwave! The food was very good and the staff were friendly and helpful.
PS Check out the short walk up Nut hill from the rear of the hotel - don t be put off by having to squeeze past the bins to get to it!
Short stay
A pleasant hotel with a good room apart from very limited storage for clothes etc. Restaurant meal disappointing with the smallest portion of mushy peas I have ever seen - less than the tartare sauce and just one mouthful!

Myself and my sister had a lovely stay. The only critique would be the bathroom could do with an upgrade and air con would have been a plus.
The breakfast was lovely and nothing was to much trouble and a special thank you to Tina who was on breakfast duty was amazing.
The bedroom was spacious and welcoming and the extras was a bonus.
A very pleasant break.
Excellent buffet breakfast. Staff very helpful and friendly. As it was during the recent heatwave, the room that we had booked (on the top floor) had been changed to a lower floor with air conditioning which worked beautifully. Sadly though our view was limited to about two feet as the building backs onto a grass bank. Whereas the view from the top floor would have been of lawns and a rather neglected lake. Having stayed in the Hotel previously I was a bit disappointed with the Evening meals. The first evening I had Prawn cocktail for my starter. Unfortunately this was not as expected. The prawns appeared to be chopped up shrimps, but with no discerneable sauce. Lots of hard to chew lettuce and quite dry. I had the same problem with the Caesar Salad. Very little sauce with it which made it dry and disappointing. Both my partner and I enjoyed the Complimentary afternoon tea, and can thoroughly recommend it, particularly for a special celebration.
Brilliant
Fantastic hotel. Staff very welcoming and very helpful..
Had a dog friendly room which was very spacious. They also provided some trays and toys for our dog.
As we had our dog with us we ate in the lounge area, which was very nice. Located next to the main restaurant.
All the staff were very friendly and very polite. The grounds are well kept and there are a variety of walks that you can undertake. which the hotel provide detailed directions.for.
Recent Stay
Have stayed several times over the years. This time we stayed with friends. No surprises really The Hotel is nicely sited in its own grounds and a good base for trips in the Cotswolds.. The refurb undertaken some years ago is getting a bit tired and is now seemingly a stop off point for large coach parties - coaches being parked outside our ground floor room and engines left running for extended period. Menu choice is quite restricted and evening meal on this occasion just average. Wine is ( like most hotels) exorbitant. Breakfast and overall customer service was good. Very happy with this aspect - our party of 4 (including a friend with gluten intolerance) was well catered for.
