Excellent stay

BK, West Yorkshire, stayed: November 2024

The hotel was excellent. The staff were very helpful. The grounds were pleasant, pity about the rain. Meals were well presented and served. The room was pleasant and airy. The only downside was there was very tittle wardrobe space. But overall an excellent stay.

Enjoyable stay

AG, Warwickshire, stayed: November 2024

Enjoyable two days stay at Bowden hall. Lovely dog friendly room (136) near a fire exit you could use to take your dog out to save you walking through the hotel. Dog bowl with bonio's provided nice touch..room clean spacious and warm. Could possibly have done with a small fridge in there for people who take extra milk juice etc. love the option of being able to take your dog into the lounge or bar if you want. Restaurant food nice typical British but what we like. Breakfast was plentiful good choice of hot and continental. No scrambled egg tho. . Staff really friendly polite and helpful especially the lady from Latvia on the desk who always had a smile on her face. Nice grounds with the dining pods. Not quite as big as expected but nice to walk round also only five minutes walk from Upton st leonard. Would definitely stay again.

Luxury 3 night Break 17th November - 20th November

Andrew G, Worcestershire, stayed: November 2024

We had a very enjoyable three nights at Bowden Hall and were made very welcome by all staff who were very attentive and friendly.

The restaurant had a good selection of menu choices and breakfast was nicely presented and tasty,

We did have one problem on our final dining meal in that we had a wait of 50 minutes before our Main Course arrived. My wife had ordered Sea Bass and I ordered Pie of the Day we did not have a starter. The waitress was very apologetic and chased up the kitchen but it was quite frustrating to see other customers arriving and going whilst we waited. We never found out what the problem was but when the food did arrive it was delicious.

The only other problem was an invasion in the bedroom of Ladybirds. My wife tried to get them off the ceiling humanely and liberated them outside but each evening they returned. There were in the region of 30 plus black ladybirds. We did tell the chap on reception when we came down for dinner on the first evening and asked for a replacement drinking glass but he didn't offer to investigate.

I am only referring to these things because I was invited to leave a review not because I want to complain. Would I stay here again? Maybe.

Great package price

We stayed at Bowden Hall on a package for 1 night, room, half bottle of fizz, 50 restaurant voucher and full breakfast, and for a great price. Everything was good, and would definitely return.

Interesting Place

Anon, stayed: November 2024

We were looking forward to our stay this interesting period hotel - especially its architectural features and it's William Morris windows.

The staff were lovely, the food was fine, but the hotel itself is the pervasive smell of 'rising damp' detracts from the ambience.
