Beautiful house and grounds. Great location for visiting Stratford (and the RSC...)
Beautiful hotel
Very nice spa but no food really to purchase in there. Hotel is elegant and food was delicious
Welcombe Hotel & Spa
Nice Location on land previously owned by William Shakespeare this is a well appointed Country House type of hotel with lovely gardens and a separate Golf club. The Spa was enjoyable and would have been excellent had all the facilities been working.
Room was OK - good on a wing of an extension with a view of a bank. Restaurant was nice with great service (Thanks) but a fairly limited menu - but no-one seemed to know what tariff we were supposed to be on but I managed to sort the misunderstandings out. Cost of wine was beyond extortionate I'm afraid which was self defeating as no one appeared to be sharing bottles- a shame because the food in the evening and at breakfast was of a good standard.
The Hotel is well organised and centrally situated for some very enjoyable visits and is about 1 mile outside Stratford.
Overall a good experience despite a few niggles - we'd go again
Excellent hotel
Had a fabulous stay with a friend the hotel was amazing full of history and the staff were very professional and friendly. Will definitely be back with my partner.
Relaxing few days away
We had a lovely few days away with friends the hotel was in a lovely setting and so convenient for Stratford and surrounding areas .the staff were so welcoming friendly and helpful the evening meal was beautiful and a lovely breakfast each morning , our rooms were well equipped and very comfortable beds. The spa really nice enjoyed a swim and a jacuzzi during our stay.
Would recommend this hotel it is well worth the money .
Impressive Hotel for a stay in Stratford upon Avon
Great location, imposing hotel and wonderful spa facilities. Excellent food but restaurant lacks atmosphere. Room well appointed and comfortable but a little drab.
Valentines short break
It is an older type of retreat but the quality of rooms could be better. We were amazed although an old property there could be no lift and no help to get baggage to an upper floor. We did enjoy the spar but some of the facilities needed maintenance. We did enjoy the food in the restaurant. It is a very nice location.
