The Swan at Bibury
Beautiful location, hotel very comfortable, staff efficient and helpful, food in bar good. Enjoyed a relaxing stay in good situation for sightseeing.
Feedback
Second visit to the Swan and enjoyed very much although we felt that the dining room lacked a bit of atmosphere in the evening and the time waiting for our meal was rather long considering there were few people dining. Our last evening we ate in the bar section but again our waiting time along with other diners was an hour and no-one during that time came and gave any reason for the delay and when we did eventually get our meal and enquired as to the delay the reply we got was 'technical issues'
Luxurious romantic break in the most picturesque village I have ever seen
I surprised my husband for his birthday and we had a one night stay in the amazing Whooper Cottage with its own private garden and hot tub. The place is amazing, decorated luxuriously with added extras over two floors, I could easily live there. The hotel is lovely and staff can't do enough to help, the evening meal was delicious and we had breakfast in our room the next morning. Bibury itself is the most picturesque postcard village I have ever seen, we were torn between walking around the lovely village and gardens and getting the most out of our beautiful cottage, must return
A delightful hotel
Had a relaxing time at the Swan. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff were lovely.
A special stay
I booked this hotel as a surprise present for my husbands 60th birthday on our way to Cotswolds Water Park. The welcome was a little ruined by another client, who was insisting on being helped with an internet connection whilst the receptionist was trying to book us in. I felt the receptionist could have been firmer with the other customer, but it was a difficult situation. Other than that we loved the hotel, location and the food was outstanding.

The Swan is a typical old Cotswold Hotel. We stayed in a "Garden Suite" which consists of ground floor Living Room with freeview TV, settee coffee table.. Upstairs large bedroom with TV & on suite. En suite has shower cubicle & bath. Good pressure to shower & plenty of hot water. Rooms clean & tidy. The bar & Brasserie border a courtyard with table & chairs. We ate in the Brasserie & chose from the a la carte menu. The food & service were to high standard, the whole experience was most enjoyable. Very much a case of getting what you pay for.
