Some good, some bad, some funny.
On arrival it became clear that only one of three 'extras' purchased on line were on the system. Finding the room was a bit of a problem - signage was odd. Maisie [amazing receptionist] had to walk us to our room in the end!
The service in the restaurant was really slow due to staff shortages and a couple of the staff showed their inexperience.
Being woken up at 03:00 by a faulty fire alarm was not much fun especially as we had to go looking for the staff to find out if the alarm was for real or false.
The alarm went off on the following evening too and at least this time, after being prompted, the duty manager visited rooms to explain that there was a fault in the system and apologise.
The fire alarm went of a third time on the morning we left and staff came through the breakfast room assuring us all was under control - quite funny in the end.
In the room - the toilet roll holder was barely hanging on at a jaunty angle. The room was not particularly clean but comfortable and spacious.
Positives - breakfast was good, the hotel is on a bus stop and 20 mins from the middle of Stratford.
50th Birthday Present
We stayed for a weekend in an Executive double room which was fantastic and very large, bed was comfortable and facilities were great in the room. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was fabulous my wife had lamb and I had the roast pork.
Breakfasts throughout the weekend were on a buffet basis but they were plentiful and of a good quality.
One issue is that the cleanliness of the hotel was OK but not great with tables left to be cleared in the bar for a long time and there were old cobwebs not cleaned away both in the rooms and in the bar / restaurant area also in our room there was a biscuit left on the carpet from previous people.
Overall we loved the weekend but I think the hotel just needs to get the cleaning aspects sorted out to go up to the next level.
Hotel not as advertised and this website does not give best price
Having booked a last minute stay at this hotel through this website, which guarantees the best price, we discovered on arrival at the hotel that this is definitely not the case. The hotel staff were lovely and helpful. When we expressed our disappointment at the end of the stay, they were shocked at the price we had paid and refunded more than half of it. All the staff were lovely and helpful throughout. The food was absolutely dreadful and it turns out the hotel are fully aware of these problems as they currently have no chef. For the price we eventually paid, it was acceptable but it was very disappointing as we planned what we thought would be a fairly luxurious stay for our anniversary celebration. It was clear other guests were similarly disappointed. I am unsure how this website can state they offer the best deals when it is blatantly not the case.

Rooms clean and comfortable. Food at breakfast was plentiful and good as was the evening meal we had on our first night. Staff very friendly and helpful, we would like to make a special mention about Claire on reception who was extremely helpful and informative. Overall we were well satisfied with our stay.
Great stay
Stayed for 2 night break and was really pleased with all aspects of hotel.
Room was spacious and clean, the staff were all helpful and friendly.
Great location for exploring Stratford on Avon, and a nice National Trust country park next door.

Almost spot on
Excellent food and service - staff were great, attentive and helpful. Shame the deal only included meals on one evening, rather than two - though it just meant finding somewhere to dine on the 2nd evening (though would've preferred it if it was at CP instead!).
Our only 'complaint' as such was that our keys stopped working ... MANY times ... yes, we're aware that keys need to be kept away from all sorts of other gadgets - my wife won ... 5-3 (so 8 times returning to reception [sometimes needing to queue, too] to have the key either re-programmed or, (twice), replaced. In no way, however, do this spoil our stay (just think, from what was said, it would be good for CP to invest in a more up-to-date machine.
Bottom line is that we both recommend it at CP. Thank you!
