We had a lovely time at The Charlecote Pheasant

Mary L, Berkshire, stayed: November 2022

The hotel is in an ideal location for us - close to Stratford and with the beautiful Charlecote park and National Trust facilities just across the road.

It's a lovely place for a relaxing break. The staff are very helpful

We'll certainly be coming back!

Very disappointing

Anon, stayed: December 2022

The stay was very disappointing, we booked to stay for 2 nights but checked out after the first night. As soon as we entered the building across the car park housing our room you could see that the corridors were very tired, and in need of decoration, not a good first impression before we arrived at our room. The room itself was ok, but the bathroom was very tired and in need of decoration with dampness showing on the wall. Having requested a different room the gentleman on reception was very accommodating and we did move to an improved room. All members of staff were pleasant and helpful.

Good location, poor restaurant experience

LE, Warwickshire, stayed: January 2023

Evening meal food wise was delicious but we ordered a bottle of wine which was plonked on the table, unopened with no offer of tasting or any serving etiquette.
Breakfast was served until 10am apparently but at 9.40, there was little left and no topping up.
We had a drink in the bar mid afternoon on the Saturday; no bar snacks at all available and limited drinks range.
Room was lovely. Absolutely no pressure in the shower

Breakfast

Kathryn, Devon, stayed: February 2023

Accommodation very good but breakfast very disappointing. Very little food left when we arrived at 9.15 am. For those of us who have continental breakfast to be presented with only ordinary white and brown bread , no fresh fruit and an empty croissant plate was not what I was looking forward to. More imagination and replenishment needed - definitely !

Cancelled

CN, Cambridgeshire, stayed: March 2023

Didn t stay there in the end came home after cancelling because the electricity failed in the kitchen and there was no food for the evening meals and only a cold buffet breakfasts. So we came home after being offered a full refund. They dealt with the unfortunate situation professionally

Great location

CD, Staffordshire, stayed: March 2023

The hotel is more of a motel. A little dated and in need of some tlc but clean enough and in a lovely part of the world. Having Charlecote Park right opposite means it s a great place to visit.
The staff were great, the bar is ok but drinks are super expensive.
The evening menu is very limited and not very inspiring, having said that it was actually nice enough, breakfast was good.
Our deal included complimentary drinks which were a bit of a joke. Half a pint or a tiny glass of wine.
I feel bad criticising the place as we actually enjoyed our stay but advertising it as a luxury country break in a traditional country hotel is bound to set expectations too high and disappointment people.
