A very warm & friendly hotel, the menu should be reviewed.  Maintain the current standards of cleanliness and the warmth during cold weather.

Cosy night away

EB, West Midlands, stayed: November 2018

Lovely hotel with lots of areas to have a drink and relax. Good choice of food for dinner. Nice to walk across the common into Stroud if you want to get out in the surrounding area

Lovely Hotel

Joanne, Hampshire, stayed: October 2020

A lovely hotel in beautiful setting. Helpful, efficient staff. The only thing we could ve wished for was nice weather. It rained all weekend so didn t manage any of the lovely walks on our doorstep or enjoy the beautiful outdoor terrace.

Good hotel with great food.

DS, Kent, stayed: September 2016

A very comfortable hotel with an excellent restaurant. Breakfast is particularly good, with a very wide choice, the porridge with cream and brown sugar is really good. The bar serves a wide range of food too and this gives a more informal dining experience. In colder weather you will appreciate the open fires which give a very homely feel. The bedroom was very pleasant although we found the bed rather hard, and the bathroom had a good shower over the bath but lacked an extractor fan so it soon became very steamy.
Overall a very pleasant stay with great food.
