Great overnight stay

Our overnight stay was Friday 9th October,wonderful hotel, very covid safe, all very well organised with one way system but not intrusive in any way. Lovely friendly and efficient staff, both on Reception and all the waiting staff. Super room immaculately clean, comfy bed and pillows, fluffy towels, what's not to like !! Evening meal was excellent, good food and good service and lovely atmosphere.
Breakfast was delicious and plentiful, all in all a superb overnight stay and yes we will be back

Relaxing stay at The Bear

Our stay was everything we wanted it to be. Relaxing with good food, a nice room and a friendly feel to the hotel.

Good Bear

In August my wife and myself had a MOST enjoyable weekend staying at the Bear, The staff without exception where extremely friendly and acoomodating, the place itself Charming, the food superb and the overall ambience made it an experience we very intend to spoils ourselves to again in the future.

Wonderful staff and excellent food

We came as a large group for my in-laws Diamond wedding. The package we had was incredible value for money and the quality of the food surpassed our expectations. The staff couldn't do enough for us, they were flexible with the menu in the gourmet restaurant letting the children choose from the bar menu instead and, for breakfast, we had our own room which was lovely. My in-laws had a four poster room which was beautiful too.
The only slight drawback was the remote location but we would still go back because the positives far outweighed this one slight negative.
All in all, a memorable weekend. Thank you.

Silver wedding

Staying at the Bear of Rodborough made our silver wedding really special , the room was perfect in every way .The staff were friendly and helpful . Can not wait to come back and have another relaxing stay again .

Exceptional two-day break.

Our second stay was even better than the first. We were a party of eight, and everyone enjoyed their stay. All the staff were helpful and friendly, and the food in both bar and restaurant was extremely good. We particularly enjoyed breakfast at the hotel, which was exceptional. We hope to return next year.

Great Escape

The hotel is a warm welcome at all times. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff go the extra yard to make you feel like the only guest which makes your stay all the more enjoyable. Food and drink are prepared to a great standard, be it the breakfast options, the bar menu, the afternoon tea or the excellent dinner menu.
We will certainly bring our walking footwear next time to see more of the beautiful surrounding area and cultural sites.
