A little underwhelming at times
Just felt the customer experience was all about checking the details rather than enjoying the hotel itself. We were never offered our welcoming bar drink although a drink was then deducted from the bill. The menu didn t state there was a 12.5% service charge but the bill did. Reluctantly had to pay that. Felt the drinks also included a service charge as they were very pricey. A pint of cider, double gin and lemonade and two bags of crisps came to 19.50. When you get to the bar you are ushered away to sit somewhere and then they take the order. You can t see the prices or the choices which seems a bit bizarre really. The food menu was quite poor for choice really. Very difficult to find two things you like if you are staying there for 2 nights as we did. You just can t feel comfortable without worrying something is around the corner waiting to trip you up. I wouldn t stay again.
Couple short break
Found a deal online and we were not dissapointed. It's a pleasant hotel with friendly staff and our room was quite adequate. Food is good but don't expect fine dining. Bar area is OK. Probably our only complaint would be the really awful WiFi reception in our room, not what one expects in 2022.
Comfortable stay. Friendly staff.
Enjoyed our stay. Very relaxing.

Relaxing get away
Friendly staff, comfortable room, good food, very enjoyable
Fab location
On the edge of Rodborough common and the amazing walks this offers, is a very comfortable hotel that is dog friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were all friendly and helpful.
Love the decor - modern country style.
Will be back soon!
Great Hotel
Stayed for one night on a Dinner, B/B basis. The staff were all excellent, friendly and professional. Dinner was very good quality and we had a lovely table in the window with the most amazing views. Breakfast was of equal quality, loads of choice and the best omelette I have had for a long time. Hotel is in a lovely setting and the public rooms were well furnished. We were a little disappointed with our room, it was clean and comfortable but it was small and could have done with a little TLC, however that was our fault for choosing a standard room, definitely worth upgrading. Overall a really lovely stay, we will be back.
