One Night Cotswold Trip

The Bear was a great place to stay, lovely location for a walk and to take in the views followed by a pint or two in the bar and a nice meal in the restaurant.

Always a pleasure to stay at The Bear!

We regularly stay at The Bear and on this occasion we had friends from America with us. They absolutely loved it! They stayed in the Country house on the ground floor as my friend has mobility issues and we stayed in the quirky old building. Its quite a walk to the top floor. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Excellent 3 course dinner in the main restaurant and great choice of food at breakfast. Unfortunately it wasn't warm enough to sit outside in the gardens as this is a lovely spot when the sun shines. There are great walks on the doorstep and other Cotswold villages nearby.

Excellent Hotel, Lovely location and Room and Friendly Staff.

We had a three night stay here at the start of September 2023. Overall we loved the hotel. The location was perfect for what we wanted. The staff were very friendly and efficient throughout. The room was excellent, very clean well appointed and serviced and had a lovely view over the common.
The restaurant was OK. The breakfast was very good.

Overnight stay

Second visit to The Bear of Rodborough and I wasn't disappointed.
The hotel had a wonderful cosy feel about it with the lit open fire and rustic soft furnishings.
The bedroom was clean and well appointed, with a super comfy bed and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was spotless with luxurious complimentary toiletries.
The restaurant has amazing views over the Common and again tastefully decorated. The food service was excellent and the food delicious.
All staff we're friendly and efficient.
I'm definitely planning a third visit to The Bear.
