A Good Base.
We enjoyed a comfortable stay. Every feature of our visit was enjoyable. The hotel is well located, particularly for the theatre, and the free car park was a real bonus.
The terms of the special offer made it an appealing bargain.
Midweek Break
On arrival at the hotel car park, we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful concierge who, incidentally, we never saw again! Our room was very comfortable with the odd maintenance issue which was reported but only partially addressed. The restaurant was comfortable although the evening meal did not match our expectations and would only warrant a 'Poor' rating. However, breakfast was excellent and really could not be faulted. The staff on the Front Desk were helpful, efficient and informative. The location was ideal and we would definitely stay here again but would choose to eat out in the evening.
Comfortable stay
The Arden is a lovely hotel. It is ideal for a theatre break. You are able to stroll across to the RSC and enjoy a drink after the performance. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The breakfasts were excellent- great choice and very well cooked. Lovely outside terrace. Our room was luxurious and well equipped. The hotel had a lot of character and a great atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent reception staff. Meals beautifully presented. Wines very expensive. Our room was excellent but the same calibre room used by our friends had several minor problems that needed attention. Excellent location.

A rail in the shower is essential
I was very nervous using the spacious shower as there was no safety rail. Didn't see the tiny sign that said you needed to request one. Otherwise the room was excellent.
Perfect!
Perfect hotel in perfect position. Would definitely be first choice should we need accommodation in the area in the future.
Excellent Stay
This hotel has an enviable position in Stratford, so opposite the Swan Theatre you can watch actors and staff arriving for work whilst eating breakfast! The staff were exceptionally helpful, friendly and professional and the room extremely comfortable, with a massive bathroom with both bath and very large walk-in shower. We had dinner one night which was excellent, and a full afternoon tea which was delicious. We tend to be quick to criticise but we honestly could find nothing whatsoever to moan about, we were really impressed with this hotel, their professional staff and the overall ambiance, and will certainly return as we often visit Stratford.
