A disappointing experience
Although the overall impression was pleasing closer inspection revealed faults and unrepaired damage. Curtains in dining room and bedroom were badly torn and window frames needed repainting. Chipped paintwork in the suite and water damage due to a badly designed bath/shower was a surprise. Poorly designed and cramped wardrobes with no immediate lighting, a complete lack of drawers and only one chair in the bedroom area were an annoyance. A pleasing feature was windows that could be opened.
Both the afternoon tea and the evening meal we felt were not value comparable with other establishments.
Ideal for Theatre
An enjoyable break with easy car parking stress free in a busy tourist town. A trip to the theatre just a walk across the road.
Room of high standard with a very large bathroom with large shower cubicle as well as a free standing bath.
Breakfast cooked to order what more could we have asked for.
A little bit of luxury
The Arden Hotel is the perfect small hotel. It is ideally located for the keen theatre goer across the road from the RSC. It is small enough to be intimate, friendly and welcoming but also large enough to offer great facilities and a touch of luxary. The staff are very helpful and welcoming and pay attention to detail. The food is good - high quality breakfast with a good choice. Rooms are understated but very comfortable, with everything you need. I always come away from here feeling well looked after and a bit spoilt. Highly recommend the Arden.

Very welcoming and extremely helpful staff. Rooms very comfortable and hotel in an ideal central position in Stratford. Will certainly keep an eye open for future breaks.
Theatre on the doorstep
We had a very pleasant stay at the Arden Hotel. It's proximity to the theatre was a bonus, as I am somewhat challenged in my mobility, The stairs to the restaurant were possible for me, but I could have taken advantage of the stair lift that was available.
The bedroom was comfortable but somewhat strangely arranged - it was obviously used for "offers". This is something I have experienced before, but it's logical! It was well appointed nevertheless. The bathroom was superb.
Staff were welcoming and very helpful. Service in the restaurant was good..
I have already booked a return visit!
Great place for a break
For theatre goers it couldn't be any better as the Arden is a short stroll to the RSC. It is a small hotel that packs a big punch. The staff are very helpful. The restaurant serves delicious food. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable. I like it because they pay attention to detail.
