1st year Wedding Anniversary

JF, Cheshire, stayed: October 2020

Overall a nice stay, expected a bit better with the price we paid and the upgrade we purchased. I purchased an upgraded room because it was our first year wedding anniversary and the lovely pictures and description of the room. Unfortunately the room wasn't as the pictures showed and the description was of our room, well wasn't exactly true. I must add they do have those suites as the pictures showed but only 2, so if you don't get one of the larger ones I don't think upgrading is worth it. When the confirmation was sent we were in a luxury suit with things like a large lounge area in the room and stand alone bath with separate rain shower. We had two single chairs in our room as the lounge ( not the full lounge area as showed) and there was no stand alone bath as the pictures showed. I purchased flowers for the Monday of our anniversary which arrived in the afternoon (bit late) but were lovely, so thank you to the hotel for organising this. We did notice another couple getting a fancy desert with happy anniversary, which would have been a nice touch if we all got this on our special occasions. Again, small things but when you have a certain expectation from the confirmation email and pictures you have seen, you hope it lives up to it. Most of the hotel did, it was just the room mostly that was disappointing, which with COVID and not much else to do, a big room was what we were looking for. The staff were very friendly, especially the Barman who always made us feel welcome and the late night reception chap was extremely friendly and helpful to.

Overall it was a lovely peaceful experience, but with some let downs. I would definitely stay again if I knew what I was paying for.

Restful stay in Tewkesbury

DD, Cambridgeshire, stayed: October 2020

We had a very restful 4 night stay at Tewkesbury Park during this difficult times. The hotel staff were very friendly and help with 3 who warrant special mention Josh, Roberto and Abbi. The room had excellent views and was very comfortable. Two minor issues were no remote for the TV in the bathroom and a number of flies that appeared in the room that needed killing.
The food was excellent and of a good quality both at breakfast and dinner. It was notable on one evening when Roberto was not working that the service suffered.

Helpful staff

JM, Hampshire, stayed: October 2020

Lovely hotel in good location for the Cotswolds. Room was adequate but bathroom rather small. Coping well with Covid restrictions but using the pool was difficult when only 6 people allowed at any time and you can only book an hour ahead. Good for golfers.

A nice way to spend a relaxing weekend away.

Anon, stayed: October 2018

Loved the location, views from the hotel to die for. Room just right warm cosy and delightfully decorated. Breakfast excellent on Sunday, stressful on Saturday too many people not enough tables. Very long wait for a table so lost most of the morning. Dinner OK bit didn't eat there on Saturday or Sunday evening.

We had a lovely stay here and were given an upgrade to a luxury suite - so delighted with that.
We found the restaurant a little ordinary though sadly.
Facilities were fab and we would come back simply for these. Used most of them!!

Nice getaway

Anthony B, Middlesex, stayed: July 2018

My partner and I booked for a weekend break, the hotel is surrounded by its golf course, ideal if you are a golfer, which neither of us are. Still overall it is a nice layed back hotel and has a nice if small pool and a lovely hot tub.  We ate at the restaurant and bar area, on both occasions we found the food above average, the breakfast offerings are good, plenty of everything and all hot.
Would recommend to anyone, nice break away
