Excellent pre Christmas break
We spent three nights as a family for 4 (children uni age) and had an enjoyable and relaxing time. Loved the furnishings and decor, clean stylish and welcoming. Lovely fire by the bar - would suggest another one on the right hand side of the entrance (personal pref) All the staff we encountered- reception, bar, restaurant- were excellent. They were attentive, professional yet friendly. What really struck us was their effort to listen to what we requested/ordered and ensure we were looked after. You could tell the hotel wants to deliver to a high standard.
The food was excellent. It was freshly prepared and tasted great. Normally I don't like a cooked breakfast but everything tasted so good and there was plenty of choice at breakfast. We had lunch at the hotel on 2 days - reasonably priced. We only had supper on one day as we wanted to try a couple of local places but we enjoyed our meal. Would have happily eaten all our evening meals there.
Though the spa comprises of only two treatment rooms, Abbey was great and I would recommend her. I had a very good massage.
We didn't play golf but the course looked tempting and other guests seemed to be outside playing. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and we would happily return, Its reasonably central to explore - Bourton on the water 45 mins, Stowe 40 ins and Broadway 35mins.
Wonderful stay
I booked our hotel package stay for our 30th Anniversary, we were pleasantly surprised to hear on our arrival that we had been upgraded to a suite, we were welcomed by a lovely, bubbly, enthusiastic young man, who was keen to show us our room. We found all the staff friendly and approachable, the food was delicious and the whole hotel was designed very tastefully and was very clean throughout. The different seating areas were good with lovely views to the golf course. We were fully relaxed after just one night and were sad to leave.
First class in every respect
Cannot fault this hotel. First class in every respect. Views are stunning. Also like the fact it is dog friendly.
Restaurant food and staff were excellent.

Many relaxing lounge areas, great feel of living room, with beautiful view.
Great room and bed.
Really nice food.
Swimming pool and next door building bit outdated (has likely the focus for the next investment, as the hotel is beautiful!!)

Nice hotel, comfortable room.
Friendly staff, very nice food in the restaurant and good breakfast.
Hidden Gem
Spent only one night here sadly. The booking through off peak luxury was seamless and after informing the lady on the phone it was my special big birthday we were given an amazing upgrade to the most fabulous room overlooking the Golf Couse. From arriving to departure the stall were faultless. Food was delicious in the restaurant and breakfast buffet with everything you could possibly wish for.
Hope to return for a longer stay even without an upgrade.
