Lovely break

Wendy, Cambridgeshire, stayed: October 2021

The hotel was all we expected, with a great view from our very comfortable room. Any extra tea/coffee, etc, that we required was quickly supplied. We liked the fact that rooms were not cleaned/sheets/towels changed daily as this is unnecessary, but we were assured that if clean laundry was required we could have it.
A little disappointed with one evening meal (lamb - very chewy, which was mentioned to the waiter) and although we booked a 10am breakfast, a couple of mornings the cold buffet choices were running short.
The spa treatments were fantastic - thanks to the three ladies who were excellent.

Excellent hotel

Anon, stayed: October 2021

An excellent hotel. Beautiful room overlooking the golf course. The restaurant is excellent, a very good menu. Treatments are so relaxing. The only downsides were that the range of drinks were limited - no port and limited whiskies - and on checkout there was only 1 member of staff so a long queue.

Relaxing stay

DM, Hampshire, stayed: September 2021

We stayed three nights at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The food in the restaurant was superb. A great choice at breakfast. The hotel s set in beautiful grounds with only a short walk into Tewkesbury. The room was very clean and comfortable with lovely view over the golf course.

Short break at Tewkesbury

John, Surrey, stayed: September 2021

We wanted 3 nights but could only book 2. We played golf twice and only got wet at the end once. The course is delightful and the views wonderful. Very relaxing. Food was excellent for 2 nights. A third could find the menu at bit limiting.
Views from the room and hotel were lovely and we walked into town and back which was enjoyable and easily done.
The other facilities at the hotel are really good. The little par 3 course would suit a beginner who wants to play.
Great place for a break and would be happy to return.

Super mini break

Joanne, cheshire, stayed: September 2021

My husband and I had a super mini break at Tewksbury country hotel. We don t play golf but loved the surroundings and using the hotel facilities. We stayed in one of the historic suites which was absolutely perfect. We had two fabulous meals in the hotel restaurant. We made use of the pool and the spa facilities and had a relaxing massage. There was just a 20 minute walk to the town which we did one day and walked along the river. My only complaint is on our final, 3rd day I noticed some people were given a menu at breakfast offering choices other than the continental and English buffet. We were not given the menu choice on any of our mornings, when I enquired I was told we should have been given a menu, but no explanation of why we weren t. I was very disappointed as we had obviously had reduced choice and after 10 days of hotel breakfast (we had been stopping elsewhere also) I would have loved an alternative to eggs and bacon.
