Lovely stay

The Hotel and staff were great , it does look a little tired but the new owners are refurbishing discreetly and I m sure it will be well worth it . We had a lovely time

Stay at Stanton Manor Hotel

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for two nights on a B&B plus dinner on the first night basis.
The hotel is close to a motorway junction making access very easy.
Upon arrival the staff gave us a warm and friendly welcome. Our room on the ground floor was excellent and included a small patio where we could sit and enjoy a quiet drink and the view the gardens.
My wife had the cooked english breakfast on the first morning which proved to be less than appetising and led to a complaint. But enjoyed the subsequent porridge which was freshly made.
We enjoyed evening meals on both evenings.
The hotel is being renovated to what seems to be a very high standard, hence the quality of the bedroom.
So in all, we enjoyed, the staff were energetic and friendly, our room was excellent.
The restaurant is tired, but shortly to be modernised.
We would stay here again.

Lovely stay.

We checked in to our room 24 , it was very basic and very dark. View was a large hedge and unfortunately staff were passing constantly so no privacy. Curtains had to closed at all times . Owners need to address this promptly.
Staff were helpful to try and change room but were fully booked on the Saturday so was difficult.
We ate in the restaurant on both occasions, first night residents menu which was included on both nights.
We were told on second night that The a la carte menu we would pay the difference .
Scotch egg on the starter , steak / lamb on main course, dessert one difference from Redients menu.
Very confusing , I agree steak/ lamb charge a supplement.
Staff were friendly and pleasant.
Second night we had a couple who argued from 12.15 am to 1.50 am , slamming doors . As there is no night warden . We had to put up with this !!!
Overall we had a lovely stay and have booked again for our Anniversary in October.
In a superior room in upstairs .

Stanton Manor weekend away

Great Service and good food. The location is also nice and convenient. The Hotel is not bad, but it'd be so much better, if a bit of renovation is done, as it appears quite 'tired' . Rooms are clean and spacious, though. Thanks!

I gave the rating poor for customer service because of long delays in the restuarant ( we were there for 2 hours). There was a large party and they were being served first. Still the manager was very nice and appologized for the wait.

Location is idyllic and romantic

We stayed at Stanton Manor for two nights and had a lovely stay. Very beautiful setting close proximity to some lovely location. We would love to stay there again. And are recommending to friends and family. We have a restful visit, just what we were after.

Stunning Stay 5 star so why only 4

Location, welcome ,food, price and staff all superb and worthy of a 5 star review. So why only 4. Well it's my choice how I pay you ,tip you . Wether I use it or not the option to pay by card or cash should be available. We would return in a heartbeat with that one small change.
