Lovely period hotel
Stopped over at Stanton Manor on our way to Somerset. We really liked the building & it's period features & the room was comfortable. We had a slight problem at reception which was well dealt with by Luke the general manager. Our 3 course meal was very nice. We would stay there again.
Exceeded expectations
I booked this hotel as it was close to an event we were attending. The dinner, bed and breakfast deal was really good and to be honest, we only expected to have a reasonable stay for the price, especially due to some of the reviews we had read. However, we couldn t have been more wrong! The hotel is really wonderful, with a very homely feel. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the cocktails were delightful! The room was lovely - and the hotel in general will be fabulous once the renovations are complete although this did not affect our time there. The most impressive part of our stay were the truly exceptional staff. They were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for any of the guests in the hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

A real gem of a hotel
Excellent from check in to check out. A very comfortable large room in the old part of the hotel. A charming bar and lounge with a great choice of cocktails and a real old school ambiance.
The food was amazing. We had a three course dinner from the residents menu which was superb.
Breakfast the following day was also first class.
Will definitely return.
