Wonderful Birthday Break

A wonderful birthday break.. totally relaxing in beautiful surroundings. Taster menus amazing with excellent sommelier. Very helpful staff. Will definitely stay again.

The negatives where the drinks where very expensive, and you could only use the Spa for free if you booked a treatment, otherwise it was 15.00 per hour.
The positives where the food and service which was of a higher standard then Michelin star restaurants which we had recently visited. The Spa was also very impressive.

An ideal location to be pampered, very well fed and made to feel welcome

Really wonderful hotel.

Very pleased with the whole experience. I chose a room in the original house, from previous reviews I was a little concerned about it being dated.
Our room was maybe a little old fashioned and some areas needed some tlc, paint touching up etc but it was clean, comfortable and very spacious.
The staff all so friendly and welcoming.
The taste of the season was such a wonderful selection of courses.
The pool and outdoor spa were great and we were lucky enough to have the place almost to ourselves.

THE STAFF WERE SO HELPFUL FROM THE START TAKING OUR LUGGAGE TO OUR ROOM.THE HOTEL AND STAFF WERE SO FRIENDLY THROUGHOUT THE STAY PLUS THE RESTAURANT AND FOOD WERE BOTH FAULTLESS.HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL AND SUGGEST IT IS WORTH UPGRADING TO THE MASTER SUITE OFFER.

Delayed 60th birthday due to COVID

Booked this in dec 2019 for June 2020 for a girly 60th birthday treat for a friend. This got postponed twice due to COVID and we eventually got there in September 2021. What a fantastic place. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff in all parts of the hotel. The experience in the dining room was second to none, staff attentive and food great. Had the tasting menu first night which was an experience and went off the a la carte the following night. This was good but not much choice and drinks are ver expensive but as it was a special event didn t matter. Would definitely recommend. First class

Excellent Stay

An excellent stay, with the highlight being the attentiveness of staff. We had an amazing room and the restaurant provided us with a fantastic dining experience. We will be returning again in the future.
