ok for business
The menu & service were poor for a luxury hotel and there were No cupboards or drawers in room
for clothes for a longer stay than a day or two. Rooms were very clean & comfortable.

Nice staff and good restaurant.Upgraded to executive room and 2 single mattresses put together so didn t sleep well.We we re charged 5 on our card as we left for parking. This didn t sit right with me paying to use the car park I d already over 180 to stay in
Generally good - breakfast disappointing
Room was nice and clean. Enjoyed our evening meal but the full English breakfast was disappointing. The wife and I didn't eat it.
Hotel Stay
On arrival we were welcomed by a friendly receptionist. Our room was on the ground floor, which was ideal as we had a 4 month old baby with us, however the view from the room was the carpark. Whilst having a welcome drink in the bar, we heard another resident speak with reception about lack of hot water. He was advised of would be available in 20 minutes. We later found that we also had no water, but did not find out until already in the shower. Spoke to reception about the lack of hot water and were advised it was a pressure issue, which would be fixed by morning. There was still no hot water by the time we checked out. We were offered somewhere else to have a shower but it was too late by then. Food in the restaurant was nice but seemed limited choice and overpriced. Given its a 4 star hotel, we feel we should have been advised on arrival that there was no hot water and then we could have made a decision as to whether to change the date. Luckily we hadnt travelled far and were heading straight home on the Sunday. They did clear the bill on Checkout which was appreciated.
Lovely hotel, great staff, amazing food, but
The stairs leading down to rooms 1 and 2 are extremely dangerous. I tripped up them and the metal corner on then cut open the bottom of my big toe and I bled out all over the reception. The staff were brilliant and couldn t do more to help me, and they even brought our food to the room as I could not walk. I did feel that under the circumstances some compensation should have been offered to us. At least to have reimbursed us for our stay, which was nowhere near the relaxing weekend away we needed, and was spent in bed resting my bruised and bloody foot. I do hope they do something about the step :(

Service in the restaurant wasn't very good, we waited quite a long time to be given a desert menu, and then between courses. It would be much better if breakfast was on a buffet/self service basis and we were given an out-of-date yoghurt for breakfast. Waiting staff were 'thin on the ground' so we didn't have the opportunity of letting anyone know. One desert described as apple crumble actually appeared to be apple & blackberry and when I mentioned this, the waiter said 'it is apple crumble but the chef sometimes puts other things in as well' !! I wouldn't have ordered it had I known.
We stayed in an 'outside' room across the car park and when we walked back across after dinner, I actually tripped over a 'black' ledge and could easily have fallen down the steps to our room, as there was no lighting in this part of the car park.
