Luxury 4 days meals excellent
Had to change our top floor room did not realise no lift, that was my fault when booked but is was changed to a ground floor room.lovely atmosphere throughout the hotel.
September 2018
The front of house staff were quite sultry and rude and moreover very unhelpful with location information. It took almost 45 minute to check out of the hotel as there was a trainee working solo. When I asked her if anyone was helping her she was quite unnecessarily rude.
The spa changing rooms were filthy and in need of updating.
Restaurant staff were very friendly and the food delicious however.
We won t be returning.
Spa break
Everything was lovely but they should change the menus
We had the same menu for all 3 nights

The location and facilities where great however the evening meal was very disappointing.
The service for the evening meal was poor and the room that we are was cold.
I would stay again however I would not use the restaurant, I would go into Stratford and try one of the many eateries.

We were in need of a break after a difficult time, and the description of the hotel seemed to offer that. Beautiful historic building from the outside, but upon entering and finally reaching our room it became obvious that the Hotel was somewhat faded. The room looked ok at first, but then we noticed the stained carpets, bare electrical lamp wires, dirty paintwork around the door handles especially in the bathroom. The make-up mirror light did not work and the bottom of the shower doors were dirty. I suspect this was the result of poor housekeeping.
We were woken up every morning around 6.30 a.m. with a lot of noise either from above or the adjacent staircase. On the positive side we did enjoy the Restaurant and Bar. The staff there were extremely professional and helpful. We also enjoyed the grounds, especially the Topiary Garden and the knowledge that Shakespear had stayed there.
Wedding Anniversary stay
We booked this hotel for one night for our 51st Wedding Anniversary. The approach to the hotel was very impressive, and right away we new we had made the right choice for our hotel stay. The staff were very pleasent on arrival and carried our case to our room due to there being no lifts. Our room was in the Manor with a garden view which was lovely. The breakfast and evening meal was excellent. We would recommend 'The Billesley Manor Hotel ' .
My stay
On approaching hotel it-looks very lovely , staff very friendly overall a nice stay. Could do with refurbished very worn ,the food was very good, but thought it was strange they gave you the same menu every night. The bar staff were very professional, but as always in hotels the drinks were very expensive, I think that is why the bar emptied so quickly which is a shame as most people took to there bedrooms. We bought two bottles of water large 8.00 was a bit extreme. but as we are noticing holidaying in England is not cheap .
Lovely Setting/Location
Lovely hotel building situated in a historic area close to Stratford Upon Avon and with Shakespearian connections. A good bedroom but located in the original servants' quarters with a very narrow stairway which made case carrying difficult. No offer of assistance given. The food is good although the Table d'hote menu was unchanged but no problem for a two night stay. Breakfast was self service and not considered up to the standard of a 4 star hotel with limited choice albeit sufficient in quantity.
