A replacement break
We booked Billesley Manor after our holiday to Majorca was cancelled, and although the weather didn't live up to Spain, the hotel did in it's own way. Our room was excellent, in the old part of the manor, food and staff were fantastic. Billesley is an excellent base for visiting the surrounding area, after a long day exploring you can return to the manor and relax in the spa.
A perfect escape
I brought my partner here for her birthday, we wanted something classy and romantic and it certainly delivered. The building itself is stunning, the setting and grounds are amazing. We stayed in a room on the top floor which was huge, and had breathtaking views over the fountain. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the food and drink was second to none. Our stay exceeded all expectations and we'd love to return at some point in the future
Glorious 3 nights
Really lovely hotel, grounds are fantastic.
Had a problem with delay between dinner courses on the first night,
but the General Manager settled it all to our complete satisfaction.
Will definitely be returning.
Excellent 3 day break
Everything about the hotel proved ideal for a brief stay away from home . Food superb, staff very helpful and the suite we had was most delightful. The grounds were well worth exploring and the little church an added bonus. The only thing we could criticise was the fact that our suite being on the top floor and me being nearly 90 I had a real struggle to get our luggage up there and should have been offered assistance when we booked in.A minor point but it might help others in a similar situation.
Excellent place but a bit slow at dinner
Wonderful place to stay for families or couples, but dinner was a little slow. The room was great and the staff friendly. Wonderful gardens well kept, great spa.
Great short break hotel
We stayed on an off peak midweek luxury break and had two nights dinner, bed and breakfast with a bottle of wine both evenings. The room was on top floor of main house so quirky layout, but great views and spacious.
The evening meal was very good both nights, my wife, who is a coeliac was well catered for, with plenty of choice of all courses. Also at breakfast she was fussed over which was nice.
The hotel grounds were very picturesque, and the topiary garden was worth strolling around, especially in the evening sun. All in all this is a great hotel for a short peaceful break, all the staff were friendly and the hotel although a bit threadbare in places (it is 400+ years old after all ) was spotlessly clean.
Oh, and the complimentary bottle of plonk in our room on arrival was a very nice gesture.
Wonderful Stay
We had a wonderful stay, and every member of the staff was helpful and friendly. The food really stood out as absolutely fantastic.
My only comment would be that a patch of wallpaper was coming unstuck in our room, which surprised me as otherwise the attention to detail was outstanding.
We so enjoyed ourselves that we are thinking about booking for New Year.
Weekend break
What an amazing building! Freshly renovated rooms are lovely. Restaurant provided one i on c the nicest meals I ve had in some time. Great location for country walks to Wilmcote which is a beautiful little hamlet. All good, would love to go back! Only complaint was the fridge was not ver cold
