A charming hotel. Very warm welcome. Friendly and very helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the servers friendly and efficient. We would have like some maps of the area specially Stratford and the Park and Ride. At midweek the hotel was very quiet and peaceful but Saturday morning was hectic and breakfast was very busy. Overall we had a lovely break and would recommend this hotel.

Excellent Break

George D, Lancs, stayed: September 2018

Although it was only two nights, we felt welcome and thoroughly "at home". It helped to make our trip to Stratford upon Avon one of the best short breaks we have had.

Lovely hotel

Gwendoline S, Staffordshire, stayed: October 2018

Staff in every area were excellent.  Food was good only one thing wrong and that was the wait for eggs but delicious when they arrived.  I always check a buffet before putting anything on my plate so I had orange juice and made the toast while waiting for the eggs, my husband and another couple had already chosen items so they were more affected than me. Grounds and garden are lovely seating area's are good . Loved the church . Room doors seem to close loudly so you can get disturbed in the early morning by those going (we thought) for an early swim , run or gym workout, we were woken around 6-30am then it seemed every 20minutes for another door to bang .
Think the hotel , although in a lovely setting and a beautiful house and great Staff would be more suitable to younger folk who like to take advantage of the spa gym and pool, families or corporate folk .

This hotel was everything my wife and I needed for a great relaxing few days. The management and staff were very helpful in all our needs, the room was excellent with the only slight complaint was the stairs to the room were quite steep for two 70 year olds to tackle, one could say that it was good excercise, but it did not interfere with our enjoyment of our stay. We would gladly recommend the hotel for any future visitors.

Lovely olde worlde hotel with oak beams. Nothing modern about hotel except bathrooms modern.
Restaurant dinner very good. Portion sizes excellent too.  Drinks good value but order at the bar.
