History of the hotel

Dating back to the late 17th Century, the Swan's Nest was originally 'The Bear', a name retained by the atmospheric freehouse – with a blazing central fireplace – which is part of the hotel. Two of the earliest brick houses in Stratford provided the foundations for today's Swan's Nest, which has 74 bedrooms, from comfortable Club Doubles to spacious, sumptuous suites.

The Bear and Le Bistrot Pierre, with riverside views, provide on-site dining options, and the Swan's Nest is also dog-friendly, making it the perfect base from which to explore the many wonderful walks available on the Cotswolds – without having to leave your pets at home.

Child Policy

Children under the age of 12 can stay free at the hotel when sharing a room with two paying adults. Children from the ages of 12 to 15 years will be charged when sharing a room with two paying adults. Availability of suitable rooms is limited and portable beds may need to be used where such accommodation is sought.

Dogs Policy

At Swan's Nest Hotel, a warm welcome is extended to all travellers, including four-legged companions. As a special welcome, canine guests receive a complimentary doggie bag containing a ball and a bone.

Pet Policy

A selection of rooms at Swan's Nest Hotel can accommodate dogs. Guests are encouraged to contact the hotel directly to check availability and make a booking.

A charge of £20 per dog, per night applies, with a maximum of two dogs permitted per room.

Guests are responsible for cleaning up after their pets at all times and accept full responsibility for their animals throughout their stay. Swan's Nest Hotel accepts no liability for pets.

Owners must be present whenever hotel staff enter the guest room, or pets must be suitably restrained or removed from the room.

Pets are not permitted in the restaurant, with the exception of registered guide dogs.

 

Ground floor rooms are available, please ask for availability, dogs are allowed in The Bear Pub, they are also allowed in the restaurant for Breakfast only.
