Excellent short break

JD, Northamptonshire, stayed: August 2024

Booked at short notice for a couple of nights, excellent location for visiting Wiltshire. Building itself very attractive but room was rather tired. Food was very good quality and well priced and the service was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Lovely little getaway

TM, Essex, stayed: August 2024

Lovely place . Staff polite and helpful. A short drive to Bradford on Avon which also had a cute train station which we used to get us into Bath ( only 20 mins ) . We booked a superior room here but the room was looked a bit tired and bathroom needed work so wouldn t have put it under the superior rating ! Other than that it was a nice place to stay with a cosy edge

Birthday break

Ellie M, Oxfordshire, stayed: August 2024

Booked this hotel for a birthday getaway. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The room was clean and tidy and had all the amenities necessary.
The hotel is situated in a fantastic location with bath and Bradford on abon easy to access. We caught the train from Trowbridge , it took us about 15 minutes to walk to the station.
Overall lovely stay
Thank you

Good but.....

Kevin R, Dorset, stayed: February 2024

On arrival we were shown to a small room with a double bed (although we had stipulated we wanted twin beds) which seemed to be more suited to a room for a junior live-in member of staff (i.e. not at all luxurious). On complaining we were informed that the hotel had not received any notification from Offpeakluxury regarding our wish for twin beds, and that there wasn't any other room available. Fortunately the duty manager was somehow able to sort it all out and we were given a decent-size room with twin beds. If that had not happened, I would have phoned offpeakluxury and demanded a refund.
The only other thing was the tea and coffee were poor. Otherwise it was all quite good.

The Moonraker Hotel says...

I am sorry that you were initially offered a double bedded room. We did request a twin bedded room with the hotel and this was confirmed via email. We are pleased to hear the hotel resolved this for you.

Pleasant stay

Anon, stayed: November 2023

A pleasant stay. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was nice and spacious. The king size bed was really comfortable, we slept very well. The bathroom is the one thing that could be improved, it's a bit tired. The dinner was excellent, really high standard. Our OffPeakLuxury package which included dinner and breakfast was excellent value for money.

Overnight stop off

Robin G, Derbyshire, stayed: August 2023

Very good welcome although slightly disconcerting reception desk in the restaurant area.Shown to our room by a very helpful young lad.Room was an annex with loads of space and clean and comfortable but the bathroom (wet room) needs a complete upgrade although it was functionable.Restaurant was informal and food lovely.Full marks to the young restaurant team ,who were exceptional .
Lower marks for the outside areas which considering that the hotel ia a wedding venue desperately needs the help of a gardener.
We would definitely stay here again inspite of my negative comments above.Friendly, welcoming and comfortable plus excellent value.
