Excellent dining experience
The highlight of our stay was the excellent, award winning restaurant. The hotel is actually a complex of one large and several smaller buildings in a large site with very comfortable rooms. The location on a busy main road means a car journey to get anywhere but Tetbury, Westonbirt Arboretum and Malmesbury are all only a few miles away and lovely to visit. Service throughout was very good. We had only one complaint, the breakfast coffee was undrinkable, which was disappointing given how good the food was. Overall the stay was quite expensive but, we thought, worth it for the 5 star dining.

Beautiful hotel and attentive staff
We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.
The hotel has lots of character while still being tastefully updated and our room was very comfortable.
Staff were very anxious to ensure that everything was done to a high standard and to meet our personal preferences. We had a very enjoyable meal in the restaurant.

Lovely hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Food good though limited choice. Bed not the most comfortable. Very busy and noisy road which disturbed our sleep.

I am sorry that the road noise disturbed you, the road is normally quiet during the night, with only the occasional vehicle passing.
I do hope that this would not deter you from visiting us again, and you can request a room at the back of the hotel, or a superior room, as all of these rooms are not front facing.

Bar and Restaurant
Over all, very good. However only Malt whisky available at bar. Not one blended to go with mixers. Similar with Gin.
Restaurant breakfast quality not the best. Tended to be over cooked. Dinner menu a bit limited and no change in our 3 day stay. Quality excellent though.

My apologies that the breakfast wasn't the best quality - this is not the standard that we set ourselves, and I have of course, mentioned this to our Head Chef.

Lovely 1 night stay
Me and my wife stayed here for 1 night on our anniversary
The staff were very welcoming
The Hotel has a lovely country feel to it and is set in beautiful grounds
There are some lovely nearby walks that Ross pointed out for us etc

Short break at Hare and Hounds
We stayed one night with friends The restaurant was shut due to staff shortage (we were informed of this before arrival) so ate in the bar, food was good although the menu was a little limited.
Rooms were good and the staff freindly, overall a very enjoyable stay.

Birthday celebration for my wife
Excellent attentive service from every member of your team from arrival to departure and especially when dining. The cuisine was superb. Also, the decor is outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing stay in a stunning location. Thank you.

This hotel has undergone a massive makeover since we last visited some years ago. It has improved on all fronts hugely. I would recommend it to all ages.
