Best placed hotel in Stratford upon Avon

We arrived in glorious April sunshine and had drinks on the terrace over looking the picturesque River Avon. The whole town available to us in a few strides and the car stayed in the hotel car park for two days. The room was superb and the food delicious although portion sizes a tad on small size after a huge days walking. Loved it though and would go back in a heartbeat.

Excellent reception staff. Meals beautifully presented. Wines very expensive. Our room was excellent but the same calibre room used by our friends had several minor problems that needed attention. Excellent location.

Poor restaurant service

The hotel overall is good and I would certainly stay there again - as I have before. The quality of food for breakfast is very good but our experience of eating in the restaurant in the evening was poor. The main problem was the extremely slow service - I had to ask for the main course and then again for the bill, at which point there was no one in the restaurant to ask. I also had to ask that the so-called discretionary 10% service charge be removed from the bill.So, while I would stay at the hotel again, I would not choose to eat in the restaurant in the evening.

A comfortable hotel which could not be more convenient for the theatre.

Best base possible for trip to Shakesphere theatre

We were made very welcome on a cold winters day, the room was clean and comfortable. Quiet as requested. Afternoon tea was extensive and we enjoyed a very nice meal on our second night.

Stratford-on-Avon visit

A very pleasant 2 day stay at a very good hotel at the centre of the town with good access to facilities and attractions

Right opposite the RSC

A very nice hotel.
Very clean rooms.
A massive bed.
A massive bathroom.
Great shower and a bath.
Quiet location bang opposite the RSC theatres.
I would not hesitate booking again.
