Beautiful hotel, lovely views, enjoyable food, but not easily accessible

Georgina, Hertfordshire, stayed: October 2023

Took my husband for his birthday and stayed in a suite which was beautiful, great size with a fantastic bathroom. Hotel has a nice ambience, not over busy and a relaxing vibe. Swimming pool is small but nice, clean and relaxing.
Couldn't fault the staff, all eager to help and very friendly.
Food was tasty, but portions on the small side. Breakfast also lovely.
My only negative comment would be that there are lots of stairs which we weren't aware of in advance. We have a newborn and if known, would have come better prepared (i.e. carrier harness and travel buggy), just meant carrying everything up and down everywhere was less than ideal. Not sure how elderly customers manage.

Great stay

Gary, Nottinghamshire, stayed: October 2023

Really nice hotel whose staff were excellent throughout. Food really good too.
My wife was on crutches and they allowed us to move to a more practical room with no fuss whatsoever. Nothing too much trouble in all departments

A lovely stay to celebrate an anniversary.

MF, Shropshire, stayed: September 2023

The approach and setting is lovely and the reception area very smart.
Our room was quite smart too, and well appointed. It s a pity that the outside approach to the room goes behind the spa/clubhouse and is an unappealing walk.
The golf club looks excellent - I ll bring my clubs next time!
There is a lovely stroll round the grounds and by the river, which I recommend, but take practical shoes
Pity there was only one person on reception, there were sometimes queues.
The food in the restaurant was very good and very well presented. Just enough to let you feel satisfied, but not so much that you feel over-full. And a good selection of wine, though maybe a bit pricy.
Location is good for Tewkesbury, which is also worth more than one visit!
So: the acid test - would I stay again? YES, I am already looking it for a suitable opportunity.

Relaxing stay

Janette, WA, stayed: September 2023

We had a 3 night package which included breakfast every morning and one dinner. Our room was very comfortable with a lovely patio sitting area. The towels and lumens were changed every day which felt very luxurious. The amount allowed for dinner was very generous and the food was certainly not run of the mill fare. The location is fabulous, we played golf one morning and the views are marvelous. The pool is great and the Aqua aerobics class I took was fun.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel staff were wonderful and the Breakfast is excellent. My only disappointment is the starter/sweet on the Mint Menu in the evening.
