Excellent all round
Stayed here for one night which included breakfast, a three course dinner with a bottle of wine. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially when checking in. Our Touch of Class Room was excellent with patio doors and a lovely view overlooking the golf course. The bed was large and comfortable. Our only small criticism was that the walk in shower did not have anywhere to put your toiletries whilst showering which made showering awkward. The food in the restaurant was first class - our breakfast was cooked to order which was delicious. The restaurant staff were very friendly & helpful. We didn't take advantage of the spa Facikitues but from what we could see, it all looked very inviting. Magnificent grounds and the hotel has been refurbished to an extremely high standard. We would definitely come back again and recommend to friends.
relaxing break
the approach down the long driveway told me straight away that I would love this hotel. the reception staff were friendly and the room was luxury. there were hot drinks facilities in the room and the bathroom held a large shower. On the negative side, the room could have been a little larger and the bathroom a little tidier ie the door was wet and rotten wood at the bottom, this was due to the shower allowing the water to escape onto the floor. The beds were clean and comfy but the duvet cover and pillowcases were rather noisy ( like sleeping in a crisp packet according to my husband lol) The pool was a dream, nice and warm and clean changing rooms with lovely hot showers. I would have no problem staying here again.
Nice relaxing hotel
We have stayed here twice now. It has been great both times. Very good food. Decor was outstanding.

Absolutley superb hotel
We booked this hotel for a weekend away and we were blown away by it! We just loved everything about it - location, ambience, service, comfort, style I could go on and on. There has clearly been no expense spared in the refurbishment as it is stunning and even the little touches such as a good selection of magazines, colourful wellies by the entrance, small cartons of fresh milk in the room were stylish and thoughtful. I honestly can't praise this hotel enough and it was a lovely place to go back to on a grey and cold Saturday afternoon and sit in one of the seating areas, drink wine and admire the view which included Gloucestershire Cathedral in the distance. I could write pages! And I haven't started on the welcome a dog gets! We didn't take ours but definitely would next time. All in all a stunning hotel which we cant wait to go back to.
Waste of time and money
Incredibly underwhelming hotel. Would never recommend. I m just glad we used a voucher we received and not our own money.
Relaxing weekend break
We had a lovely weekend break, everything was perfect from the room to the delicious food. It was excellent value for money and we felt we were on MasterChef for the quality of food. The hotel was very dog friendly so we will bring our fur baby next time.
Excellent Christmas Stay
We stayed at this hotel for two nights just before Christmas. The room was extremely clean and modern and the beds were very comfy, we particularly liked the mini christmassy tree and the hot water bottle that were provided. The spa and gym facilities were great but the real highlight was the restaurant. The food was amazing and the wine was really well priced. Overall, a relaxing stay and would definitely visit again!
