A relaxing stay

Jane D, Surrey, stayed: October 2022

My sister and I visited the hotel end of oct 22 for a short break to visit places we went to as children.
The hotel staff were chatty and friendly and the decor was beautiful. Food was excellent I am gluten free and I was fully catered for.
A wonderful relaxing stay.

Romantic night away

CF, Select, stayed: October 2022

My husband and I stayed one night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The staff were really welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Duke of Somerset indulgent room, and were so glad we d opted for the room up grade. The room was beautiful and spacious, with everything you could want. We loved the pool and outdoor jacuzzi - they were quiet and a lovely space to be in. Dinner was delicious and the food was presented beautifully. At breakfast, there was a wide array of choice (make sue you try the homemade flapjacks). My only slight disappointment was the buffet hot breakfast, it was nice but I would have expected it cooked to order. Lovely places to sit in a comfy corner and read a book in the lobby and bar. We will return!

A nice little break at Tewkesbury Park

Michael P, Derbyshire, stayed: October 2022

The room we had was very nice, it was an unusual shape. It was narrow as you came in the door and the first thing you see is an ironing board leaning up against the wall/side of wardrobe. The other thing which we were unsure about was how to use the coffee machine, some instructions would be good as we do not have one at home and never used one before. Thank goodness there was also a kettle and sachets of instant coffee, so not a problem making our drinks. Other than that it was lovely, nice view of golf course and nice bottle of Prosecco waiting for us on arrival. Nice pool and interesting going outside to the hot tub and sauna. Hotel was decorated with pumpkins for a lovely autumnal theme which added to our stay.

Another Enjoyable Stay

Gavin, Surrey, stayed: October 2022

Good location and a lovely hotel. Good golf course and spa. Very clean and bright. The evening meal was delicious. Many of the dishes had an Asian influence to them reflecting the head chefs heritage. The himalyan goat curry was exceptional and tbe best curry i have had in years. However plenty of traditional British dishes available as well. An excellent wine list with some unusual wines available. Can't wait until our next visit.

Relax in beautiful surroundings

Peter, Northamptonshire, stayed: October 2022

We were sorry we could only stay one night. Our room was large well furnished and comfortable. The dining room was striking the staff attentive and the food at dinner delicious. The breakfast was excellent with the buffet refreshed at regular intervals so everything looked recently cooked. There were no drips around the buffet dishes (from beans scrambled eggs etc)
Our only gripe was that our bottle of Prosecco had been placed in our room too early and the ice in bucket had melted so wine was not chilled.

Nice hotel and restaurant but spa needs a bit of work !!

Anon, stayed: October 2022

Lovely hotel and rooms immaculate. Food very good quality and all served professionally. Spa was hugely disappointing and very basic. The 55 minute treatments we had booked became 1/2 hour treatments due to staff shortages - so hardly the relaxing day we had planned. Just starting to feel relaxed during the facial then rushed out the room as the next client was knocking on the door !!

Fabulous chill out break

Paul C, South West, stayed: October 2022

Really enjoyable on night stay bed, breakfast, evening meal and pool/spa/massage.

Loved the food, pool and spa was good albeit small - but quiet and we had a fab time there. Great massage too.

Room was really tastefully decorated and had great views across golf course to fields and hills beyond - and the sunset was lovely!

We will definitely return.
