Traditionally a manor house was the home of a feudal lord. With feudalism, all the land in the kingdom belonged to the King. However, the king would give some of the land to the lords or nobles who fought for him. They then built grand houses, centred around a Great Hall, in which to entertain other nobles and persons of note. Our collection of beautiful authentic Manor House Hotels enables you to experience life as Lord or Lady of the Manor, while enjoying the luxury and elegance of a bygone time.
