We could not fault the staff they were all very helpful the location was lovely and the hotel
was very clean.. Our fan in the bathroom was faulty and they fixed it at once. A lovely stay

Great value for money

We were delighted with our stay at Bowden Hall. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and we appreciated having air conditioning, especially in the hot evenings.

There was a large selection of food at breakfast and we appreciated our complimentary evening meal on our first evening. We would certainly use the hotel again and recommend it to friends.

Excellent Stay

Booked 1 night package deal with dinner bed & breakfast & half bottle of champagne on arrival. Excellent value. Hotel is beautiful set in lovely grounds with a lake which is hidden away because of the trees. Lovely old building which has been sympathetically renovated. Our room was very comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities. Champagne was waiting for us well chilled which was a nice touch. All the staff we met were very nice and helpful. Drinks are on the expensive side. We paid 28 for a bottle of Chenin Blanc but food was excellent and overall we thought good value. Couple of local pubs which were ok. Good location for exploring area.

Unfortunately our last evening meal the meat was overcooked and dry it would be nice with
some sauce add to it.
The staff are very helpful and friendly.

Luxury stay in the countryside

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely hotel.

It was a little hard to spot when we first arrived in the dark, but the surroundings were beautiful and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our room, despite it being the 'classic' rather than one of the larger sizes.

The staff were all really nice and helpful, and handle a couple of unforeseen issues with care and consideration. We would like to give special thanks to Mariusz (head waiter) and Alberto (head barman) for their swift and satisfactory resolution of a delay in the arrival of our meal due to an overrun kitchen.

Fantastic stay

Bowden Hall is a fantastic hotel with wonderful food and great customer service. We stayed for 5 nights and we were always welcome. The staff did all they could to help us and despite constantly asking for tea bags and sugar they were always willing to either provide us with what we needed or to send housekeeping up to help us. It s located in a village outside of Gloucester which meant that there were some lovely views while still close enough to get into town easily.
