Superb hotel

We ve now been five times to stay at Bowden Hall, taking different friends each time, and never been disappointed. The property and location is delightful and the standards are always kept very high. The staff are very welcoming and helpful, the bedrooms are well equipped and the food superb.

We look forward to future stays.

Great time.

I booked this as a surprise for my wife s birthday. We took our dog and everyone loved him. Never felt like he shouldn t be there in fact I think he got the most attention. Both staff and other guest took time to stroke and pet him. He was able to come everywhere with us. The staff made the stay more relaxing by being so friendly and helpful. Would defiantly recommend it to others. Thank you everyone at Bowden Hall.

Lovely stay, fantastic value for money

We stayed at Bowden Hall for one night and had a lovely stay. The reception area is lovely, along with the lounge, bar and dining area. Lovely artwork in the main hotel too. We stayed on a sparkling stay deal which was fantastic value for money. Our dog came too and was welcome everywhere except the dining room. We had a downstairs bedroom with easy access to the garden. Our room was fine, nice that it overlooked the garden. You could say the room felt a little corporate but that certainly didn't spoil our stay.

Very tired

Our room had one net curtain for a double window and this was ripped and hanging off the rail, the carpet was heavily stained, the restaurant evening food was extremely bland and we didn t dine there again but went outside to eat which was far better.
However the staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful and we have nothing but praise for them.

could have been better , lacking in clothing hanging and draw space .Underside of toilet could have been cleaner with black mould on underside of toilet pan. Afternoon tea was held in one of the Pods which was good value for money with excellent food which was also good value for money. Cheehse board wih evening meal poor vae for money with little choice of cheeses.

Overall good stay

The room was big and comfortable although a bit tired in areas and the shower was good. The evening meal choice was varied but a bit limited although the food was delicious and good sized portions. We had a pizza in the bar on the 2nd night and was disappointed that it wasn t freshly made but the rest of the food looked good and what we had was tasty especially the breakfast where there was plenty of choice - the nice thing was that you didn t feel rushed and the staff didn t start packing things away whilst you re still eating despite being later than the advertised serving times. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Sadly we didn t get a chance to explore the grounds because of the time of year and awful weather. We will definitely stay here again.
