Great stay but not without issues

An enjoyable stay. Staff were extremely helpful and great food.
Room had a musty smell which was not pleasant.Wedding party made too much noise which made sitting in the lounge unpleasant. The service at dinner that night was very delayed and waited nearly an hour between courses.
Suggest giving a large group a separate room to gather and chat

A lovely stay at an excellent hotel.

We had the one night deal which included a half bottle of champagne on arrival, discount on the evening meal and full breakfast. We thought it was an excellent value for money. The staff were particularly friendly and professional and the room was very nice.

Short stay on a very wet October.

Stayed here for one night on a package deal. Nice hotel and resturant was nice too. Breakfast was great. Freindly reception staff. Would vist again.

One night stay for a couple

The hotel was nice but nothing special. Dissapointed with location and grounds were not as vast as we were led to believe. Room was comfortable and clean and the down stairs decoration was lovely. Menu was adequate husbands meal was lovely mine was dissapointing. It was nice to get away and convenient to combine with a day in Gloucester.

Nice location but a tired hotel

Location is very picturesque and the building is beautiful, this hotel could be amazing! Unfortunately it s very tired in need of an overhaul. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food in the restaurant is good with no complaints, the decor in the restaurant is stark and the lounge area is the same, it s such a shame because the building is amazing. The rooms are dated and need modernising.

Weekend break

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good sized room and worth the supp for garden view. Food was very good but restaurant and hotel overall lacked atmosphere. Whilst close to Gloucester and well located for exploring the Cotswolds there were no local pubs or restaurants in walking distance. Weekend package was excellent value for money.
