room ok but no heating (broken fuse box exposed +towel rail control valve)...
refreshments in room not consistent had to ask for missing items ,water seemed like gold dust!(rationed) ........................................................................... Anyway less moaning but more an observation ,easily rectified as your staff are brilliant thank you.

Had a very pleasant stay here everything was great
Good
Lovely location and friendly staff, special mention to Henry who provided excellent Customer service
Restaurant evening menu was very tasty and presented well
Superb mini break
We had a 3 night stay, it was excellent from start to leaving, the room was lovely, welcoming and the bed very comfortable. We ate in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and the food was superb, service excellent. Very clean, and the grounds well kept. We were fortunate to also be offered afternoon tea, and again it was delicious. The staff were attentive and were very helpful and supportive.
Superb short stay
An enjoyable two night stay with excellent food and service in a marvellous setting
Country house hotel with built-on annex
Drove up the lovely drive to the carpark, pleasant welcome, but disappointing, dark, room, and not as clean as would be expected from a hotel of this standard. Out-of-service stair lift was in a dangerous position. The accommodation is a dormitory style block built behind the main building and not very appealing.
Breakfast was ok, but again quite basic. We ate in the restaurant twice, with varying success, and had an average cream tea.

My husband and I stayed at Bowden Hall Hotel on 5th, 6th, and 7th June - after being recommended by friends. The hotel is lovely in well kept grounds. The furnishings are modern and comfortable and the food good value. Unfortunately at the time we were there we shared the hotel with two coach loads of visitors. It meant we were advised by reception to eat at 6.00 p.m. to avoid the crush, and then to breakfast late to avoid them again. It was all a bit overpowering - especially when we arrived back at the hotel late afternoon on the 6th to find there was a separate Wake going on, and we were not able to access the ground floor because it was privately booked to the Wake visitors. We would not have booked these particular dates if we had been told about the coaches, but would be otherwise happy to visit the hotel again in the future. We appreciate the hotel needs the revenue and it is nice to find the hotel is well supported, but I think we were one of only about three couples who were not part of the coach party.
