Very good hotel and grounds

Nice staff, food disappointing

Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel welcome. Food quality was poor. Some dishes seemed to be frozen not fresh, others were just disappointing (fish cakes that were basically potato croquettes). No fresh juice at breakfast (only concentrated) and fruit itself was old, no individual fruit yogurts. Charged extra for proper coffee (espresso).

1st wedding anniversary

We stoped here for our first wedding anniversary. We enjoyed it very much staff were all very polite and helpfull food excellent. The room was very nice as was the location would definitely stop again

We opted for a luxury break at Bowden Hall and thoroughly enjoyed our brief stay..The staff were excellent, the restaurant very good and the setting delightful. On the downside getting to our room was something of a trek as delightful though the building may be it has no lifts to the upper floors, and immediate access to Upton St Leonards from the main road requires some caution from the driver.
That said we will definitely revisit.

Birthday treat. Stayed 26/27 March

Lovely hotel staff very friendly and the grounds around the hotel making it tranquil. Great menu in the restaurant, our compliments to the chef.All in all a lovely birthday treat.we will be visiting again, great value for money.

Birthday present

We stayed for one night. Contemporary comfortable hotel. Room and ensuite were spotlessly clean and the large bed very comfortable. We had a view over the grounds at the front of the hotel. A lovely setting and great for exploring the Cotswolds. Helpful staff. What really let the hotel down was the restaurant. We had a 3 course meal in the evening. The prawn cocktail was so cold it was tasteless, I had mushrooms in a wine sauce on top of untoasted bread which was soggy. I had to return my Thai green chicken as the meat was gristly. We both had chicken curry which had very little meat. The fruit crumble was tiny, all crumble and very little fruit. The food came out quickly and we got the impression it had been prepared in advance and just microwaved. Very poor. Thankfully the breakfast was better.

Great Stay

Really enjoyed a short break. Hotel very clean very helpful staff good food great location. Would recommend this hotel.
