Satisfied but not enthralled
Difficult to be too objective with Covid restrictions.
Everyone doing their very best to help.
Roast lamb dinner swamped with gravy,
should have served in a gravy boat.
Otherwise best one could hope for
in the circumstances
A fantastic way to make up for lost Covid holidays
We booked a mini break at this hotel as we d had our main holiday cancelled. We had 3 nights and found our lovely accessible twin room immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food, breakfast, evening meal and afternoon tea. All social distancing regulations were adhered to and the restaurant tables and chairs were cleaned immediately guests left. We are so pleased we decided to go and felt we had good value for money..
Good budget get away
The hotel was lovely, rooms basic, muddled up orders, waited a long time to be served in lounge, had to initiate service then got told off for standing up. Dinner food good. Breakfast poor. Soggy warm bread rather than toast and felt that people just threw food at us.
Fantastic stay
Warm welcome, friendly staff, safe one way system around the hotel, delicious food, spotless and comfortable rooms. Great bottle of champagne and anniversary card waiting for us in our room With a complimentary drinks voucher for the bar. What a lovely stay, can t wait to come back xx
RELAXING
Very nice Hotel although a little dated. Good quiet location but ideal to visit all towns and
especially Cotswold. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was in a good position and nice
outlook. Good choice of food even though we are in Covid 19 conditions. I thinks the deal we took
was well worth it and would stay here again.

Great value for money
We had a 3 night get away. For what we paid, the hotel was exceptional. Great location for walking/Gloucester/chocolate box villages. Food in the restaurant was fine, breakfast good, afternoon tea a lovely inclusion. Very dog friendly, which was nice. Great staff, all very happy... honestly couldn t fault it
Lovely, relaxing break
We had a lovely relaxing break, everything covid safe - staff with screens and masks, sanitising as soon as you left the dining table. Staff were friendly and receptionists very welcoming. Food was excellent as was the service. Rooms were nice, although a bit warm - but the windows or air conditioning sorted that out. Seemed a bit dated in places, but that did not bother us - made it feel rustic. Had a lovely relaxing break, enjoyed the ambience, food, afternoon tea - overall an excellent stay and would definitely stay again
