Comfortable, relaxing and scenic for short stay getaway.
Hotel very comfortable with helpful, friendly staff. Bedroom excellent with view overlooking river. Booking included excellent breakfast. Tempted to have brought our cockapoo since hotel caters for dogs and their owners but reasonably enough dogs are not allowed in the main restaurant area.
We arrived on a Sunday in late May at the start of schools half term. Bibury is obviously on the itinerary of visitors from around the world, or so it seemed, and was extremely busy, as were other places of interest along the A429 Fosse Way.
We certainly enjoyed our stay but would mention the potential difficulty in finding a parking place.
On all 3 nights we had dinner at the Swan and would have welcomed one or two changes to the choices available during that period or more extensive menu considering the cost of meals.

Enjoyable stay
My husband & I enjoyed our stay at the Swan.
The good weather enabled us to use the riverside garden
which my husband particularly enjoyed - we also enjoyed
walking around the village.
The staff were very helpful and our bedroom comfortable
especially the bed. As 80Year olds we found the food
rather different but appreciate that this appeals to younger
guests.
Good Hotel
Going through OPL we got a very nice room with all the little extras you would expect of a 4 star hotel. Only problem with the room was the shower which was at about 6ft in height so difficult to get under and shower properly.
Food and drink very good but breakfast took longer than expected due to cook food not arriving very promptly.
Charming hotel
Lovely location . Parking limited. Excellent service by very attentive staff.

Cotswold Gem
A warm welcome set the tone for a very relaxing 3-day stay. A clean, good sized room with a half bottle of bubbles and chocolates was a pleasant arrival treat. Bibury is a small village but full of typical Cotswold charm but like most villages of its kind can get quite busy, although late autumn is relatively quiet. For walkers, the area offers some decent routes, however, be aware, a route map available at the hotel is tricky to follow even for experienced walkers. The hotel has a comfortable, spacious bar and a peaceful reading room (complete with a lovely open fire). Overall, an enjoyable stay, just a couple of comments: parking is somewhat restricted and the bedroom pillows are somewhat firm , although housekeeping may be able to swap these to some a tad softer, apparently.
