Wonderful hotel and staff
From partying to leaving the staff could not have been more helpful:
Overall good, location at heart of tourist spot is a drawback
Lovely location, but car parking is a big problem. Being such a tourist spot, with only two very small hotel car parks (which tourists also "inhabit" - missing "Hotel guests only" signs don't help) makes it extremely difficult for the hotel - the staff try their best but there seems to be no solution. Tourists are very evident from as early as 0830 in the morning. Room very good, ambiance good, dinner excellent - but breakfast let down by two very small pieces of streaky bacon as the "bacon" plating, and the smallest hash browns (just one each) we have encountered. All staff very good, professional and friendly - nothing too much trouble. Hotel spotlessly clean, all amenities in good order.

We had a most enjoyable stay.
Staff were outstanding! Everyone made us so welcome. Lovely to see so many smiley faces .
We upgraded to a luxury room as my husband needed a walk in shower due to a mobility problem.
It was a beautiful room with a lovely view of the gardens at front of Hotel.
Certainly we can visit again!
lovely stay
My sister's room wa outstanding room 9, but unfortunately my room, room 7 was up a steep set of steps when the room door ws opened; but the most disconcerrting aspect was that all the windows had been blocked out and therefore you could not see outside (quite eerie) to the point that I would not want to stay in room 7 again, bearing in mind I paid the full price for Two people
shower
very nice room ,
the shower head wa far tomlow to have a comfortable shower

Picturesque village and a good base for exploring parts of the Cotswolds
The Swan hotel is in a good location as a base for exploring parts of the Cotswolds. The village was unexpectedly busy with tourists because of the history relating to the road bridge over the river Coln and the trout farm. Fortunately the hotel has private parking areas for a limited number of vehicles.
The Swan hotel was comfortable and well maintained but some of the drinks were considered to be pricey. The food choices were good.
The man on reception in the waistcoat was very helpful and friendly. All hotel staff were cheerful and efficient.
