About the Cotswolds
The Cotswolds is one of the most beautiful and unspoiled regions in England, with high, wooded hills and sweeping valleys dotted with charming, timeless villages of honey-coloured stone cottages.

Bourton-on-the-Water

A very popular tourist destination in the summer, but the village is just as attractive during the autumn and winter.
The clear, shallow waters of the River Windrush flow through the centre of the village, spanned by a number of 18th century bridges, which has led to the village being named the 'Venice of the Cotswolds.'
An unique attraction is the replica Model Village which is open daily and represents the village as it was in 1937.
Other nearby attractions include Birdland, which has 500 different birds in its gardens and grounds, including very tame parrots and penguins. You can watch them being fed daily between 2-3pm.
The Bourton Model Railway is another attraction and the Cotswold Perfumery makes and sells its own fragrances on site. This small family run business also offers pre-booked tours of the perfume garden and laboratory.
